NOT the best I've used. The finish looks smooth, sure, but normally with leather cord this fine, one can tell where the weaknesses are - and there are always weaknesses. Leather isn't some infinite thing, after all, it has to come from a hide, and when a spool seems to go on forever, it's pretty self-evident that pieces have been spliced into one another.Generally speaking, when doing weaving with leather cord this fine, one can take care where the weaknesses are, but when you can't tell where they are, you wind up snapping your cord and ruining the whole project on a whim. The uniform thickness is nicer than some I've used that vary widely in actual girth, but I'd prefer to be able to tell where the joins are.

The cord is not the same if you order multiples and it’s not terribly durable. I purchased 2 spools to make lariat necklaces with. Stringing pearls on one spools cord was fine, the other was almost impossible. I wasted a lot of cord trying to make the final necklaces because of the size difference. It also breaks easily, especially if you try to break it down to make it softer. There’s definitely no way you could use this for shoes....it broke as I just tried to pull a knot right at the end of a necklace.Overall, I do not recommend. For this price, this is cheap crap.

After 10 days of wearing my necklace, the black finish started flaking off. Now I have natural leather showing on through the black finish. The leather is so stiff it is very difficult to tie an overhand knot using this material. While trying to sinch down the knot the cord broke multiple times. Very disappointed in this product.

I purchased this strong for crafting necklaces and chokers and I am very displeased. This is definitely not leather, it feels like plastic and is not very strong. I have tried to tie so many knots with it and kept having the string break on me, you can not pull on it tightly without it breaking which is a concern when crafting jewlery to sell. I would of liked a high quality leather string that would not break when tugged, I'll keep looking.

Right thickness, but rips WAY too easily. I was making simple slipknot necklaces and it ripped at just the slight pressure of tightening knots. May be good for tassels, but nothing durable/needing to be tightened.I have other leather cord at this thickness (different company) that has NO issues. This is a subpar leather.

Within a week the black "leather" was wearing off and there was brownish orange patches all over the cord. I had to remake 30 necklaces using the polyester cord that I should have used all along. I tried this because it was easier to string through a bead than poly, but it wasn't worth it.

awesome quality for the price. I have ordered this several times and plan to re-order these again for my art projects. I have used them for necklaces and bracelets and they have lasted over 2 years without tearing

A slight pull on this while making knotted bracelets and this snaps in two! Doesn't feel like leather, feels more like plastic. Isn't 1mm, looks more like .5mm or .75mm. Would not purchase again and would not recommend. I have no idea what else I can use this for. Really disappointed.

Do not buy this product. Tried the 1.5mm 2.5 mm and 3 mm.all junk
