I’m a BIG fan of the Passion Translation Bible .... I’ve been a Christian for many years and love God but at times found the Bible a little hard going to understand ...for me the Passion Translation is like reading the Bible in 3D !!!!! .. gives such a bigger picture and I especially LOVE the commentaries that are at the end of each page !.. However THIS little book gave me so much more understanding and clarity of the timeline of Jesus life. This brilliant way to read the Bible puts the events of the life of Jesus found in all four gospels into chronological order ... WOW what a difference it made for meHonestly this format makes the gospels incredibly easy and enjoyable to read !!!I just bought extra copies to give away as gifts as I love it so much !!Highly recommended ...perfect for anyone at any stage of their journey with God ..but particularly brilliant way to introduce people to Jesus and reading the Bible for the first time !

I love the little book, as it is a nice size to carry in my handbag, or a gentleman could put in a suit jacket pocket. It is beautifully made, with stitched binding with a well-rounded spine making it very attractive. The faux leather is present to hold while reading.The text and font are clear, but would appreciate a larger than 9 pt font, as many houses of worship are poorly lighted, making a larger font, 11-12 pt easier to read. A larger font could be accommodated in one of two ways,1. Slightly thicker book to accommodate more pages.2. Thinner (Bible paper) accommodating more pages w/out increasing thickness of book, even though the heaver/more durable paper doesn't have blead through from opposite side.3. Give a wider space between lines, even with same font size, as he has done with his other books, such as Prayers on Fire, and The Divine Romance.I'd like to see it presented with the footnotes, as whether in biblical style, or 'harmonized' style, foot notes are still nice for explanations. Or maybe just a book of the Gospels, and nothing else, that would include the footnotes. I happen to love the author’s footnotes, as Dr. Brian’s knowledge of the original biblical tongues is just fantastic. Dr. Simmons seems to use a reasonably main stream style of theology in his notes and commentaries…Why he chose a 40 day format, I just don’t know, as the formatting to get you to race through in a limited time, just doesn’t make sense to me. I like to prayerfully drift down the river of knowledge with the Sacred Word, without being rushed, or made to feel neglectful should I miss a day here and there for some unplanned reason.Basically, larger font, footnotes, and no day counter, and it would be perfect.I am going to keep it even though it is a little difficult to read, as I love Dr. Brian’s work with the scriptures.

It's like reading a novel and I understand Jesus in ways I didn't before. I can sit and read it for a long time and it really makes Jesus come alive even more.

I wanted a nice compilation of the 4 gospels to read, something in addition to the 4 Gospels. I stopped reading about page 5. First of all, it is printed in about a 9 point font, good luck trying to see printed words. I also do not like the translaiton. It is clearly english and just loses some of the warmth of other translaitons I have read. My opinion, just not what I thought.

I am loving this Passion Translation harmonized gospels. I knew of this concept before but to have it in the Passion Translation style of language just makes the gospels come alive to me in a different way! Thank you for your awesome work!

The Harmonized Gospels makes the story of Jesus and His Life easy to follow. I'm currently halfway through--starting on Day 21. The words that Jesus said and how He was received by various people of His time are becoming clear as I see repeated themes and patterns as they occurred in His day. It's not difficult to see those same elements in today's world. I LOVE the feel of this book in my hands, it's format, and references. I'm eager to read it faster, but I recognize the value of 1 section per day. So happy I purchased this one! On day 41, I'll start again.

Well done, thoughtful Harmony. The Passion version brings fresh subtleties. Arranged as a 40 day reading.

This is an important paraphrase of the Good News, especially for people who want to quickly grasp the importance of Jesus and fully understand who he was and is and is to come.As a believer off some forty years, I value this book in my library, and I recommend this book to the curious unbeliever, the new believer, and those who simply desire to read the gospel in a single harmonised volume.The language is easy to comprehend, and there are plenty of footnotes to reference with a bible.What are you waiting for? It is an ideal book to give the next person you introduce to Jesus.

Although this is easy to read and the concept of harmonizing the four gospels is a great one, the translation used is not as accurate as it should be. The translator serms to have over-embellished some passages which does alter the meaning. Its a shame because I'm sure this would have been an excellent aid to bible study.

Sorry haven't made up my mind about this book yet.needs careful reading,difference in interpretation. Will comment further when I decide if is worth recommending to anyone
