Good quantity - great tool
This roof rake was recommended to me by a friend. Was just what we needed during this harsh winter. The snow In our region is light and powdery for the most part, and this rake is perfect for that type of snow. However, it also worked reasonably well on the snow when it compacted. This rake is very light, easy to handle, and is extremely durable. It got used very hard at our house. It saved us in labor, and no doubt saved us from roof collapses as many in our area experienced.

poly blade snow rake w/16 foot handle
Added a carport to my house and for sure now I needed a roof snow rake. I live in Michigan. Got on Amazon, went thru the reviews, and ordered the one that I felt would do the job well. Free shipping?? WOW!! Received it, admired it when I seen it laying by my back door and very glad I had ordered it before the snow even thought of appearing. I was ready to bond with the snow on the roof. November came, no snow. December came, traces of snow appeared --- not enough to use the rake. I begin to pray for snow and also did the snow dance in the drive way with the snow rake on my hand. I even had the snow blower along side begging for snow. I wanted to use that rake. I looked towards the house roof and noticed small tree branches on my roof. I smiled. Tree branches will have to do for now. My snow rake kissed the roof shingles and I surgically removed all the branches. Next, I removed the branches off my carport. I looked at the neighbors house roofs. They were clean. January came and went, still no snow to brag about, I could feel the tears starting to form on my eyes, Febuary and now March. I am depressed now. Temperatures are the the 50's, high 60's and the grass is greening up. I look at my lawn mower. I am begaining to fall in love with my lawn mower all over again. Weathermen are predicting higer temps for the coming weeks. I sadly will have to put my snow rake away but first I will rake the few branches from the roof and pretend the branches are snow. I rated the rake a 5 star as it did very good with the branches

The directions are not good but then again it doesn't take a math wiz ...
I received the Garant GPRR24U roof rake all in one package. The directions are not good but then again it doesn't take a math wiz to put it together. The instructions are enough to figure out what needs to be done but don't expect a written document or anything close. I put it together in about 10 minutes with simple tools. The rake itself is quite light when assembled. It does the job quite nicely with snow but the rake is not to be used to break ice under snow as I think it will break. It should be used after a storm before the snow turns to ice. I was happy with the results on my standard New England ranch style home. One should remember however, this was my first time using it and it remains to be seen how it will stand up over time. I like the easy connect handle extensions on the handle. In some cases I question the rakes durability in the future but based on what I paid for it ( $50) I think I will get my fair value out of it. I've seen the rake sell for much more than $50 so be patient if you can wait it out and I think you will be happy with the value this rake offers.

Well worth the money
It arrived this morning. Within 2 hours I had it assembled, cleared my solar panels and shovelled away the avalanche of snow it brought down. Result. Before I discovered roof rakes existed I made one. Mine is crap. I wouldn't be able to make a better one for the price of this Garant. It was easy to assemble. Instructions clear. In all about 20 minutes including grabbing some sockets and wrenches. The blade is stout and well braced to the handle. I was really happy to see the "Don't use near power lines" sticker - given the rake is close to 7m long it would be very easy to ground the lines running beside my garage.I used it from the top of a ladder and found it to be stable and stiff enough without compromising my balance.Other than running the thing over with a car it is hard to imagine it breaking.Printed on the box "Assembled in Canada". It wasn't, unless putting some nuts and bolts in a baggy constitutes assembly nowadays. It was assembled in my garage. Thank you China...probably.

The best I have ever used.
This rake is well made and stands up to some pretty rough use inspite of it being made from plastic. If you learn to take small "bites" out of the snow on the roof, this rake makes quick work of clearing the snow, and it will not harm your roofing material. The construction of the whole unit is very good. A nice feature is that the three piece handle has been given a rough finish so that the grip is much better when raking. It won't slip out of your hands. Assembly is simple, easy and the instructions are clearly written and illustrated. I have a snow shovel of this same brand and it has lasted for years with little wear. I have had a roof rake of this brand for five years and it is still as new looking as this new one. You can order replacement parts for this rake, if needed. The three pieces of the handle easily interconnect and disconnect. I find this a much better system than a handle that telescopes in and out. I have use them both and the three piece system allows you to adjust your raking to many different roof pitches and reaches.

Probably if I had seen in store may have thought twice about buying
I would give product a 8 out 10 seems could be built out of better quality material, I had an older model that I had used for years and this model is no match to quality
