This is one of the best purchases I've made on Amazon. I've had a Troy-bilt TB22E model multi function weed eater for years, which I mainly use as a pole saw. It never ran correctly even new out of the box. I always had to keep the choke partially open to keep it running. This kit installed in minutes using two screws and fired up running perfectly. This kit has everything you need. One tip- the two gas lines should be cut at an angle for easy install and can be trimmed square after running them into the gas tank. It came with 2 gaskets and there was one on my trimmer. I now think the factory left one off which was why mine never ran well...until now.I would give this item 10 stars if I could.

I have a Troy-Bilt weed eater from Lowe's. Hasn't really worked right since day one. Always had to keep using the choke on it to keep it going. Thought for sure it was the carburetor. Saw this on Amazon and figured $16 why not. I just installed it and on the second pull it started right up. Let it run for a minute move the selector two number three and it works better then when I pulled it out of the box for the first time. Took a whole two minutes to install. My advice only use high test gas and put star Tron in it. It's a good stabilizer. Old carburetor had a ton of ethanol in it. It look like I dumped varnish inside of it. I would highly recommend this carburetor. Hope this helps. By the way the adjustment tool is also good for just about all the other small carburetors on other yard equipment. Very handy to have.

Fits perfectly for my TB22EC TROY BILT. I’ve owned my unit since 2014. This year the carb just was not right.Figured I’d give this a try. Took less than 10 minutes to install. Comes with plenty of extra parts. Fired right up on the second pull.It comes with the carb adjustment tool which is a plus. Took about 5-10 minutes to adjust the carb just right. Saved me a ton of money by replacing the carb instead of buying a new unit.NOTE; the provided spark plug will not fit the TB22EC. There is not enough clearance for the piston. I simply reused my old spark plug after a good cleaning.FINAL THOUGHT: I recommend. For less than $20 you can get your old Troy Bilt back up and running

My 3-yr old Troy-bilt would not stay running when I release the throttle. I messed with the adjustment screws to no avail. I could've cleaned my carb, but for $20 I just decided to get a new one. This one fits perfectly, and I only had to use the carb itself and a gasket. The package came with the adjustment tool, which is a plus, but I already had one. Now the weed eater is running again.

The carburetor was very easy to install. I pretty much watched a video on youtube and did it. Once I uninstalled the original carburetor and did a side by side comparisons I was happy. I originally only needed to replace the fuel lines. The lines in the kit fit snug like its supposed to be. Just take the time and make small quarter turns to tune it with the tool thats provided. The price was great for all the items that come in the kit.

I am a mechanic by trade. BE CAREFUL WITH THESE. The spark plug is not correct for the troy built Tb22ec trimmer. YOU WILL DESTROY YOUR TRIMMER IF YOI USE IT. Match it up exactly with your old one. Would not run out of the box. Complete Chinese garbage. Stay away from this. Go OEM or try one of the others on here.

Opened box, put carb on with new gasket, installed new sparkplug, used tool to adjust carb close to most factory settings (all the way down then a full turn plus a half back), primed the carb, pulled and started right up! Fine tuned the carb with the included tool and now it runs better than it did when it was new. AWESOME VALUE and a GREAT PRODUCT!!!

I ordered 2 of these for my cheaper gas trimmer, I Bolens and 1 Troy built, both are identicle.Takes 10 minutes to install the new carb,spark plug,fuel line and filter,Both trimmer now run better than new and start without effort,Highly recommended
