Works well, but battery life is lacking
This is a decent trimmer and gets the job done almost as well as a gas model. It has decent power (could use a little more) and is plenty light. However, the battery life stinks. One of the two batteries has already decided not to charge. It plugs in, but the charger does not blink or charge it. The terminals are clean.Of course, this happened just outside the return/support window, meaning I now have to buy a new battery just to use the trimmer. That's about half the price of the trimmer; if the other one dies, too, I may as well buy a brand new gas trimmer for the price and have the thing last for a decade or two like my last one, instead of a couple years like this one.

Great for the money, lasted almost a decade.
I'm on my second one currently. First one lasted me 8 years and honestly, it only stopped working after I loaned it to a teenager so...might have succumbed to improper use. It's also worth noting that in the 8 years I had my original model, I was using it to knock down weeds on a half acre parcel, so the lifespan isn't a reflection of some suburbanite with little to manage. I live in the Rockies and have a small poultry farm, this trimmer got put to work! This isn't a particularly awesome weed wacker but it's kind of awesome in its simplicity. Light weight, easy to use, uncomplicated, easy to maintain and lasts a surprisingly long time considering how cheap it is. If you want a trimmer to make man grunt noises over, this ain't it.If you just want to knock down your weeds, have an easy time of it and not pay much for it, this is your ticket.Note: This trimmer does NOT auto feed line. If you use cheap line that will break constantly, this is a pain. Use half decent fresh line and it's not really a problem. Use a few of the dollars you save on this trimmer to buy decent line. Good news is the thing is so light that when you do eventually need to flip it over to feed more line, it's easy. It's not often you find a cheap tool that's a good tool, but this one is. I hope they're still making them in the 2030's, I'll but a third one whenever I run this one into the ground.

Plenty of power, quiet, not the best ergonomics.
This general ergonomic design seems prevalent in this product group. The unit I am replacing had its own set of problems but had the trigger at the end with no additional 1' plus of useless length to the battery to get in the way of my forearm and limit my hand positions on the trigger. It was much easier and less physically taxing to use than this one from an ergonomics view.

Plenty of Power to Edge
Used it today for the first time and it cut through a very thick edge, leaving a nice cut. The two batteries provide more than enough power, although it is a heavy edger and has a lot of weight to it, especially with the two batteries inserted. Will build your arm muscles.

Great weed wacker for the price
Replaced my cordless with this one after the batteries were wearing out again. The line feed works, it has the power, smart design for rotating the head, a second pre-loaded string spool for quick continuous operation. light weight for handling.

10/10 Far exceeded expectations
Since this weed eater was one of the cheapest I found, I didn’t have the highest expectations but it amazed me. I work 12+ hour days most days so haven’t had time to take care of the backyard lately and it was getting out of control. I finally had the time and nervously took the weed eater out not sure if it would be able to handle the overgrown yard and it easily took things down and only took me about an hour in total. I bought extra string because I wasn’t sure if I’d need extra given the amount of work my yard needed, but I didn’t even have to use it. The spool that came with the weed eater lasted for the whole yard and still hasn’t run out. I don’t normally write reviews here, but this weed eater worked so well that I had to. Take this as a sign to get this weed eater. You won’t regret it!

Would not recommend
I'm not happy with this trimmer and should return/exchange it, and proll will, I have about a week left.First, I thought it came with an extra battery, I thought, great, I won't have to buy an extra! It does not come with an extra battery, it takes two to operate. That makes it really heavy, plus if you want extra batteries, you have to buy two instead of one. Second, as mentioned the darned thing is heavy. Third, the batteries did not work/swap with the Greenworks blower I already had. Fourth, it is the rock-and-debris throwingest trimmer I have ever used. Make sure you're wearing heavy pants and eye protection, because these thing really throws the debris. If I keep it, I will almost certainly fashion some sort of additional shield. And finally, battery life is disappointing if used on the highest setting, and remember, if you want an extra battery, you have to buy two. The one pro I have is that it does cut well. The batteries charge fast too, but you still have to stop and do it.I would not repurchase this unit, nor would I recommend it to a friend. It seems well made and cuts well, but it's heavy, requires two batteries, and doesn't have impressive battery life.
