most beautiful pan I've ever had
Unlike cheaper versions, this cast iron pan is beautifully made, and, after a few weeks of 'breaking it in' it is working wonderfully. I absolutely love every moment of the experience of this pan. The surface is even and almost glossy.

It’s a heavy pan, good quality. I do have some questions
my pan has this colourful thing after a few times use. Is it normal?

Doesn't heat evenly on my induction hob
This is the worst purchase I have ever made. After long research for a reliable cast iron pan I decided to go with Staub. It was not ideal from the start as it was not distributing the heat evenly but I was trying different recipes and methods in the hope that it would take a little while to get used to the pan. After a few months the middle of pan got discoloured and I can't get it clean. It also started to burn food in the centre whilst keeping it raw on the outside.

Last frying pan purchase..
Follow the instructions and this pan is a joy to use. Expensive, yet worth every penny - got fed up buying the latest 'wonderpan' which does not last long so decided to go for the long haul. Cleaning it and maintaining it is less of a hassle than I expected, it just gets better and better - and yes, you can successfully fry sunny Side-ups in it..

Sehr gute Verarbeitung. Perfekt!
Die Pfanne ist hervorragend verarbeitet. Wärmeleistung ist - auch bei Induktionsherden - sehr gut. Die gute Haftschicht verhindert ein Festhaften des Bratguts weitestgehend. Eigengeschmack und Qualität (natürlich immer ausgehend von der Qualität des verwendeten Guts) bleiben erhalten. Zubereitung gelingt schnell und schonend. Die Reinigung ist einfach, Anhaftungen lassen sich leicht entfernen. Wenn man die Pfanne nicht mit kratzenden Werkzeugen oder starken, kratzenden, abrasiven Reinigungsmitteln behandelt, wird sie lange ihren Dienst tun. Das Gewicht ist für Pfannen aus diesem Material völlig ok! Wer leichteres Geschirr bevorzugt, muss an der Qualität und Verwendbarkeit sicher Abstriche machen. Klare Kaufempfehlung!
