XPETIMen's Waterproof Hiking Boots

These boots are amazing. However the inside back of one of the boot has split and I've only really worn them for dog walking. I even use a shoe horn to get them on and off yet the material has still split. started wearing them in December so not even 6 months old :-(. I'm gonna see if I can get them repaired but not holding out much hope.. This is such a shame as they are the comfiest boots I've ever owned18/4 - wow wow wow. The supplier contacted me after my review. They replaced my boots immediately and for no cost. What can you say, this is customer service at its best. A big thank you to the them and I will definitely be purchasing again when these wear out.

I always buy walking boots for taking the dogs out. Over the past few years I am averaging probably a pair of boots every 9 months or so. I've tried the more expensive ones (£150+) and also the cheap end of the market (£30 or less). Previous boots have not lived up to their waterproof claims, have split or just fallen apart!! £30 every 9 months is not so bad as they are worn in all conditions and all types of terrain for about 4-5 miles every day, but more often than not the waterproofing is poor and it is no fun walking with cold wet feet.Trialling something different from an unknown brand I went for these after reading a couple of other reviews. I've also left it 4 months since my purchase to give greater perspective from my point of view.Although not the lightest of boots and on my first couple of times wearing them they did feel very stiff and unforgiving they have soon softened and I'm more used to the weight now.They have remained warm and waterproof, myself and the dogs have been on muddy walks through fields and woods, I've cleaned them in puddles and walked through ankle deep snow with not a drop of moisture on my socks. They clean up easily, have good grip and are very comfortable with the cushioned footbed. I'd happily buy another pair tomorrow but I can see these outlasting any of my previous purchases

I suspected these boots from China would be good boot. Very happy with them out of the box; initially they (size 13.5) were a bit tight, but I later discovered I has been pulling laces to hard (!) After a few days the material stretched and there is a much more comfortable feel now. The XPETI have been tried in a light rain shower; and I found them water-proof (there are varied accounts of waterproofing in other reviews (?). The grip is very good (and looks good as well - very rugged). Over all after about two / three weeks these are a good pair of boots for light yard work and just about comfortable to keep on all day.

Brought these based on reviews and descriptions of waterproof and warm as my other boots had no grip leftObviously not winter yet but first impression is well made and light with alot of cushioning in the soleFor the price it's looks looking good a went up a whole size to a 13 and fits wellWill update once the cold wet weather comes when taking the dog out

Don't buy these boots. There are extremely uncomfortable, and ripped my big toe apart, tried even with 2 pairs of walking socks.Grips are almost gone, and they slide in the mud.I use these for dog walking in the countryside, almost every day. Very uncomfortable after 2 miles in. Makes walking awful.Don't buy, save for a better boot.

The media could not be loaded.  These boots did me proud. Spent 5 days in them at a very wet and muddy download festival felt nice a grippy and didn't slip unlike everyone else around me. Feet stayed dry and warm the whole time. I'm a size 9 and ordered a 9.5 as advised and fit perfectly with thick boot socks. And was fine with normal socks. Easy to get on an off with the big loop at the back and the open top 2 eyelets

I do not make many reviews but these boots are the best. After trying endless boot styles promising the earth and always underperformed, these boots are warm, dry and keep you from sliding in the muddy parks and woods. They are simply great. So much so that three months on, Ive bought a second pair as I know that when I eventually come to replace them in years to come, I won't find a boot like it.

I had been looking for a new pair of boots and found these while searching for a different brand. I primarily use them for hiking with my dog so I needed a light boot, that has a good tread pattern. I took a chance on these and I'm glad I did, Love the softshell design, they slip on and off easily, even though I have wide feet. They're water proof, even when my foot was completely submerged and even standing for long periods my feet never have gotten sore or cold. The tread pattern is great, similar to my Columbia hikers, great traction even on ice. I highly recommend these boots!
