What an expensive old load of rubbish
Recieved this item today, and what a disappointment, firstly it looks like a very poor Chinese die cast item and cheap plastic, not metal at all, the magnet supposed to hold it to the inside of the metal safe is none existent, the lid/ cap is so badly fitted you can pull it away from the key which pokes out too far that you could easily snap it off, and the so called lock is crap, I tested it with a screwdriver and it came apart with little opposition, the worst part is that this piece of engineering disaster cost £50 + do yourself a favour and don't buy this rubbishI will be complaining to Amazon

Extra security
Good. Took a little time to get it to fit correctly. But once I did then ok. A good extra for traveling especially in hotels where the staff are not quite so honest

Good deterent
We found the lock more than adequate. We replaced the padlock. The strap wore away at the sides but over a fortnight not enough to need replacing or moving to another part of the strap. It may not be metal but the plastic is solid. Follow the instructions and it fits very tightly. It will accompany us wherever we go. Better safe than sorry and wondering who has the safe master code. For us it was money well spent.

Works very well if you upgrade the strap & padlock
WARNING: The Milockie is not foolproof. There have been reports that the nylon strap can be cut with a razor blade or knife when the lock is attached to the hotel safe. Then thief gains access to your safe anyways (typically a hotel person who has access to the master unlock code). SOLUTION: I upgraded my Milokie by buying a PacSafe camera-strap and replaced the nylon strap that ame with the Millockie. Pacsafe straps have small braided stainless steel wires running through the entire lenght of their straps that takes wire cutters and a lot of force to cut them. No way a razor or knife will cut through those wires! And definitely need to upgrade to a heavy-duty padlock made of hardened steel as the one supplied is a joke! Too bad Milockie hasn't chosen to do these up grades, but I guess they are making huge profist by using inferior parts such as a standard nylon strap and 10-cent combination lock. This upgrade costs money, but if you have valuables you truly want protected, an extra $40 investment in upgrades is cheap insurance.

Great idea, quality was NOT GOOD.
The time and idea behind this is great. However, please note that it comes with a really flimsy lock. My husband was able to cut it in minutes so we had to go out and buy another sturdier, better quality one (we were traveling to Thailand and needed the added security for our own peace of mind). After about 3 - 4 days, the cloth part of it began to fray from opening and closing the door to the safe. I will be posting pictures soon.It is a great idea for sure. However, not worth the price because sadly, we won't be able to use it again since the cloth has frayed.

Cumbersome and cheaply made
The included lock does not work properly (setting the code is so imprecise I had to decode the lock to get it back open). The strap easily catches in the bars that close to lock the safe. The whole system is cumbersome to install/remove each time you need to lock the safe or get back into it. I ended up setting an old Ring doorbell on the top of the safe to record if anyone went in the cabinet.

Great idea!
We did not realize that our belongings might not be secure in the hotel room safe! But then we heard about people whose credit cards were compromised, and some were missing jewelry and/or money, electronics, etc. There is always a staff member with a master key. Most of these staff members can be trusted, but it only takes one.....! As we are starting to travel more and more, we decided not to take chances with our valuables. We will be testing this for the first time later in the fall, and will make sure to take pictures of the lock "in action" when we travel. It was also suggested that a photo be taken of the lock on the safe, so that if by some strange quirk the lock is tampered with, you have proof of the lock to show resort management. Great idea!

Plastic. Not tough, pretty expensive.
OK, what the description doesn't tell you is that this thing isn't case-hardened steel, though you could be forgiven for thinking so from the picture. It's gray plastic. It won't keep anyone who wants to get past it bad enough out of your safe, and "bad enough" means that they can booger up the plastic, or slit the fabric strap that holds it on the safe with a knife. The actual idea that this company is selling is that someone with the passcode to the safe doesn't want it detected that they've been in your room and looted the safe, closed the safe door back up. As evidence that your safe has been tampered with, well I guess this is...uh...something, but it's still your word against the front desk's if the thief runs off with the pieces. It also doesn't protect you against hotel or maintenance staff who don't have the passcode but who know about secret switches, magnets and the like that are built into a lot of these safes to pop the door after guests have forgotten their codes. If they don't care about people knowing that someone's been in the safe, this won't slow them down much.It looks imposing, especially with a decent padlock on it (not the included weeny combo lock), but it's security theater. A shame, really - if they'd built it from steel, it'd have some actual effect on keeping the safe closed and preventing bad guys from getting in. And would be worth what they're charging here.
