good book..for professionals..mainly ..easy to understand..good pics..

I am a new salon owner. I have the book on the coffee table in the waiting area of the salon. One of my clients has selected one of the haircuts displayed in the book as the style she would like next! It is modern, interesting and put together well! It is fun to have a book on hair that can be held, instead of just digital.

この本には奇抜な髪型が沢山載っているけど、多分、自分では出来ない気がする。それに、髪の毛に鳥の毛を挿すのも、人生に何回もありそうもない気がする。なので、実用性ではかなり問題があると思う。しかし、この作者は一時期日本でも店舗展開がされていたＢｏｏｔｓというイギリスのドラッグストアーでプライベートブランドを置いているくらいの有名なヘアースタイリストです。そのせいか、髪の毛のケア方法やらは詳しく乗っている。テーマごとに別れていて、City Hair, Vacation, Big Date, Big Day(つまり自分の結婚式！）と4つに別れています。が、Vacationなんてはとうてい役立たない髪型ばかりです。と、言うわけで、実用性はないと言えます。でも、イラストが可愛いのです。そして、4人の女の子のストーリー仕立てになっているのは、可愛いです。この本は、髪型をまねて自分でも出来るようにしたいっていう意味では失格だけど、さすがにスタイリストの作品集みたいなノリで出来ているだけあって、本自体にはカッコよさがあります。あと髪の毛の知識も身につくけど。。。でも、日本人の私が赤毛の特色を知って意味があるのか？って感じもするけど。

purchased for a 14 year old. had a peek inside there seems to be a lot of info and ideas of how to dress your hair also a bit of technical stuff. the sort of book that you could refer to but also have fun trying out the styles.

This book is great if you know what you are doing but if you are a beginner it may not help so much. This book has really good advice and hair style ideas but not any step by step pictures. In other words if you can read it and understand what they are trying to tell you, you will do great. If you need to see what they are doing your out of luck. The only think I did not like is the story in book since it doesn't do anything for this book.
