The large vest fit my Golden Retriever perfectly. I like the adjustability of this vest. The extra handle was the perfect length for light mobility and balance. The ID holder and ADA info cards were a nice plus. I like the velcro patches, so I could add my own as needed. A nice alternative to the more expensive mobility vests. If you need pulling or more than simply a light mobility vest, you might prefer one of the more expensive choices.

Awesome vest for your service dog. Best made vest I've gotten yet. Sizing runs a tad small so if your dog is on the border, get the larger size. You'll have this vest forever. It comes with the really convenient removable back handle, and awesome chest plate to prevent slippage and make it perfect for the car seat belt, or doggie seat belt too. No switching back and forth. The Velcro strips on the sides make it perfect for changing labels when your dog completes training, or for dogs who perform multiple tasks like mine. (Therapy and PTSD). Add a no-pull side or chest ring and I would call it the all-time perfect vest.

This is very practical and useful harness. I got the XL for my golden who weighs 75lbs with a girth of 35 inch’s. The harness front strap adjusts with velcro, and they girth has a good snap and then has a slide type buckle. So far the girth has held it’s sizing. The guide strap is a good length for me, I am 5foot4inchs. The velcro service dog patches fit on the vest very well and don’t poke my dog. Since the patches are velcro someone could use different patches if they want.. I like the wide strap that go between the front legs that keep the strap placed in center. Since I just recieved this vest and have only been out with it once I can’t comment on durability, but it seems well made. I’ve been to the activeDog web site and I know they and known for quality.

I expected a larger vest for my dog. What I expected was a vest that went further down the body. As you can see in the picture she looks like she is wearing a vest that is too small even though the size is correct.Quality is excellent and handle was the perfect length for me. The handle would be too short for a person over 5"6.

Unfortunately, the sizing was wrong. According to their chart, it should have fit her with room to spare. I couldn't get it on her. For many years I've been a big fan of Activedogs. I've purchased all of my supplies through them. Until recently. their quality seems to be slipping as the company expands. Metal and fabric parts being replaced with plastic. Stitching is no longer secure. It's a shame Activedogs used to sell the superior product.

I looked at a lot of these harness before selecting this one for my rear leg paralyzed 70# bernese mountain dog, Emmy. She lost the use of her back legs (possibly degenerative myelopathy, possibly a spinal stroke) and now we go on walks with a great cart made by K-9 carts. I use a hind quarter sling constantly when we are just going out to potty, and for short distances inside. She only uses the K-9 cart for outdoor walks. But stairs are a danger for the both of us. I have been carrying her and my back is starting to complain. Picking her up is rather like picking up a 70# bean bag. This harness, with the free bonus bridge handle is PERFECT. Now I can lift her front easily and securely with the harness and lift her back legs with the sling. She was always frightened when I carried her down stairs, and this morning we went down a short flight easily and she was clearly quite happy with our new vastly improved system. Wish I had thought of this months ago. Well made. Clever design. Very adjustable. And the bridge handle is wonderful. Much much safer for both of us. A fall while carrying her would have been dreadful. Highly recommend. Her front half still works great. She pulls like a steam engine. Very grateful to have found a better way. Thank you.By the way, I also love the K-9 cart, sold on Amazon. I purchased directly from site as they were back-ordered on Amazon at the time. It costs a bit more than others, but it is worth it.
