In addition, she has sprinkled the book with certain keywords such as Context, Circumstance, situation, condition, cause, reason, effect, impact and influence. To truly understand the text I had to understand each of these words. It has been my joy to discover their meaning and relationship. Over all, my thinking has improved along with my knowledge of history which has been enriched.

This is really a worth-buy option if one wants to know about the history of northeast because Assam is the mother of all the states except Sikkim from which all others took birth.It describes in an interesting and explicit way as possible by a faculty of history in Guwahati university with appropriate parallel examples and time periods.I recommend it to be an appropriate option for history lovers.

This book is a very good introduction to the modern history of Assam from the Yandaboo Treaty up to the Partition. Covers basically everything and written in a very lucid manner. A good one for any history lover or if you are an aspirant of Civil service examination.
