Broken teeth
Well, this lasted almost a year. I noticed the other day, going uphill on our gravel drive, only one tire was spinning. Take the cover off the old girl to find some teeth missing where the 2 meet. (See pic) contacted the manufacturer earlier. Will see what they will do, but so far…not very impressed. Edit: Upon further investigation, this is actually a powertrax lock right unit for a 1997 F350, with the sterling 10.25" ring gear. The lock I purchased for the front dana 60 was this one....and it works no problem!! Highly recommend this locker...but, the powertrax unit is junk.

Year model fitment incorrect.
Awesome product and quality. I’ve used many of these over the years. This time the item said it would fit a 99 f250 super duty, but that wasn’t correct. I ended up having to source an earlier model (1996) ring gear carrier to work in the 99-10 housings. Problem solved, works great. Hope this helps someone

COMPLETE JUNK
Went through 2 of these in 3 months literally driving too and from work.... i'll admit the first one was barely out of spec. the second one i installed perfectly within specs. didnt last 2 months driving to and from work. never buy an auto-locker i would personally stick with a heavy duty limited slip design. ALOT of wasted time, energy and money trying to get these lockers to work right.

Works better than expected
Installed in rear of my 1988 F250 4x4. Had the entire axle out of vehicle and on bench so installation was relatively easy. The little springs and shear pins are very easy to loose, I would buy a second set next time (just incase they zing past your face, which they did multiple times). Road manners were much better than expected. Only chirped tire once, shifting hard around a corner. Filled with Lucas Oil 80-90W. My brother put one in front axle of his Chevy K20 and has had similar results, no popping or banging. Running stock size tires and a diesel.Update: After some more road time, starting to identify the quirks. Around tight turns you will get a funny feeling and also a little clunking on takeoff and between gears. (5 speed transmission). I attribute this clunking to locker design and it is unavoidable. This truck will be doing quick trips to town and in the woods so I don't see any problems. I would ONLY install this locker in a pleasure vehicle or farm truck or part time 4wd front axle. Traction is without a doubt improved, but very quirky for a street/service/in town vehicle. Will try to answer any questions people may have
