Excellent purchase. I stuff it with a variety of graphite and colour pencils and use it for my EDC sketching kit. It holds a LOT of pencils and the soft but rugged canvas makes it ideal for the field.

Like other reviewers have said, if you need a compact, simple, durable, inexpensive pencil case, look no further.What I love most about this is the hackability of it. Need to hold a pocket notebook or something similar with your pencil kit? Take the middle seam out and you can carry the notebook behind your pencils, and still fold up the when the notebook isn't there. Need to have a more secure closure than the hook and loop? Attach an elastic through the canvas or on the side (a la Traveler's Notebook) and you can wrap it up and not lose the elastic. Or remove the hook and loop and attach magnets instead. Need another pocket for erasers or lead or sharpeners? Add one at the top where the canvas folds over, or create a pocket out of the middle seam with some extra sewing. Need to have easy access but also keep it compact? Open it up and fold it backwards; now you have full access but it still takes up the same space as it does when it's in storage mode.Not just for pencils or pens either, for all kinds of stationery and art supplies that are long and thin or flat that you might need to carry with your or organize in a larger storage container. If this is less than $11, buy it. You will find a use for it!
