They work great
Very smooth to work with and nice black results. Not shiny like graphite.

Great pencils to use
I've used different brands of charcoal in the past but I must admit these were a pleasure to use. My only suggestion would be to be careful sharpening them. Can easily break using a manual sharpener which I use on occasion.
