BARK Dog Waste Poop Bags - (20 Rolls, 300-count, Unscented)

Update: I was contacted by BARK and they kindly apologized for their brand ambassador for going off-script and sharing false information about this product being "eco-friendly.". They took full responsibility for their mistake which I appreciated. Mistakes happen. They proceeded to give me a call to ask about my feedback about how they can make their product more environmentally friendly. They mentioned that they have been looking into updating the product in the near future to make it more green. I think they've learned that using interesting, green-sounding terms like "oxo-biodegradable" is so counterintuitive. Great example of a company owning up to mistakes and making a change about it!Original Review: I was totally green-washed into buying this product. I was at the dog park and a promoter/brand ambassador for this company came up raving about how biodegradable/compostable/eco-friendly these bags are. I was instantly intrigued and also they were having a deal where the first box would be free, so of course I went ahead and ordered them! Once they arrived, I noticed how plastic they felt. I was used to purchasing real compostable bags made out of corn starch and plant material before so I can instantly tell the difference. I see that the box says “oxo-biodegradable” and I googled it to see what exactly that means. Turns out, it’s still very much plastic and the only difference is that it breaks down *slightly* faster. This is the definition greenwash and it's unfair. If you actually care about the planet, don't be fooled by the term "oxo-biodegradable."

YAY! NO SMELLy fragrance to set me off. Something in the Smelly bags cause me to have some kind of Anaphylaxis-like attack. It has been hard to find CUTE Poop Bags, that do not smell & that can hold a load.These are so FREAKING adorable; but yet they do an AMAZING JOB! They HOLD a Load without breaking! They come off the roll with out splitting! They are too funny. These were going to be a gift, and I still might save them ... I was told we “Already had Poop Bags.”But the Poop bags we have, were not cutting it.We were gifted an abundance of ones that are NOT SMELLY; but they are small, see through & rip, split open & Can’t hold a load. {it has been a CRAPPY experience} I thought that they were my only hope, until I discovered these!I have to say, I have them hidden & still plan on gifting them to Daddy, from Dewey; But I secretly took a roll out of the box, for when Dewey and I go potty outside. {I personally hate having poop fall on me, or have my hand go through the bags}.Plus, I could not wait to check them out. I have 5 dogs, ranging in size from 95 pounds to 11 pounds, and in ages from 1 year to 12 years.I deal with a LOT of poop.Pros:Good size for big poopers. (see picture)Really tough to tear/poke holes (see picture - I had to use scissors to cut the arm holes).NO leaking and, once tied, NO odor! (I left a tied one in my car accidentally, because I forgot about it).Oxy-Biodegradable (which is better for the environment)Less than 1 cent per bag, there are 6000 bags in a box, you will never run out; but if you do, you can inexpensively buy more.BARK! Has fantastic customer service, and if you have *any* problems with *any* of their products, they will work hard to make it right!! They are all about dogs and dog people.Cons:The dogs do not scoop the poop themselves.The dogs will not poop INTO the bag.The sayings on the bag are Amusing, and people think I am weird for showing them a bag of poop and saying "Look at this bag of poop, this is funny!"Sometimes more than one bag comes out of the dispenser, because the perforations are a little difficult to see. But this happens with all the poop bags I've used, so it might be me, actually.

The discount did not impact my review.These are great basic poo bags, with a title twist - a variety of fun slogans, with one appearing on each bag. The bags are sturdy, simply constructed, and for the most part easy enough to tie off.Two places where there could be improvement: (1) I prefer a lightly scented bag, generally, and these are unscented. The bags should come in scented and unscented varieties; (2) I wouldn't mind it if the bags were a little larger and/or had handles or tie flaps, to better assist with quickly tying off.

I'm dog trainer, so i buy a lot of dog cleanup bags. In fact, when i bought these i still had rolls from previous Amazon purchase from a few years ago, 9X13 900 bags. I often give to training clients to encourage cleaning up. I thought the "poopaganda" were cute and clients would think so too. I was really frustrated just recently using one of these rolls. Not only did the bag appear sealed on both ends, the next one wasn't sealed on the bottom! Needless to say, I was torqued, having only grabbed a couple of bags for this walk. I had to go all the way back to my vehicle to get more bags, that worked. This is the first time, after 20 years using dog waste bags when i've experienced this problem. Very disappointed and hope the clients i handed them out to didn't have the same experience! I'm given a two star rating only because i still liked the effort in clever remarks on outside of bags.

We already have a BarkBox subscription that we absolutely love, and when we ran out of poop bags I was looking for more. We picked this since we are already happy with another product with them. I tuck a roll of poop bags in just about every coat I have so I'm never out of them when I walk my dog and this are nice and small and easy to carry.I found they are easy to rip apart at the seams, plenty of space to turn inside out and use to pick up waste, then then turn around again. The material of the bags isn't too thick, and isn't too thin, and seems to hold up well. I am happy we purchased these. Carrying an entire roll is necessary for me since my dog sometimes drops a poop 2-3 times in a single walk!
