SigmasTek APC APC Back-UPS Pro NS 1080VA UPS Replacement Batteries - Set of 2

This item (set of 2) has saved me so much money. I recently came into the possession of three APC UPS in need of batteries. APC originally wants close to $50 for each, whereas I bought these two for $35~ 40. My UPS require two, although at first I didn't think they would work, I took my time and matched them to the slide coupler as directed and zip bang boom, I'm in business. I have these fully charged and ready to go. I have two more units to "repair" and then they're going to reside in my rack for my Entertainment System electric filtering. Can't say enough good things about the brand and of course the price.

Batteries look legit. They passed the UPS (APC NS1080) self-test. Time will tell how long they will last.The product description does imply that some assembly is required. However, if you've never done it before and/or are not technically inclined it can be a bit disconcerting. 1. Make note of the red and green label orientation. 2. Remove the red and green labels without damaging them and save them (a heat gun helps tremendously to soften the glue). 3. Unplug the old batteries from the battery mating assembly and plug in the new batteries ONE at a time. This way you don't screw up the wiring. 4. Carefully reattach the red and green labels in the correct orientation to hold the battery assembly together (it can help to prop up the new assembly on the old batteries, and to temporarily tape around the circumference of the assembly to keep it all together when reattaching the labels).

Very easy to replace with the new batteries ,I just need to swap the old bracket to the new ones, wrapped them together with electrical tape.

I always use this batteries and they just as long as the APC batteries

This worked perfect for replacement. The item came quickly.The install was a little weird because after I took the batteries out the assembly was held together by stickers. (yes stickers) I carefully pulled the stickers off and placed them on the replacement batteries. There was still a lot of residue on the original batteries.Its a great deal for the money if you want to save another $30....but buying the full replacement kit will save 10 minutes and make the install a lot easier. I would buy it again.

These batteries are not for an NS1080. Now I can't return them and keep getting into a return hell loop.Do not order these if you have an NS 1080 by APC!

My UPS was telling me the batteries were nearing end of life so I researched to find a source to replace instead of buying new unit. My unit appears to have been discontinued last year. I rated 4 stars based on on swapping the original batteries out. APS had a red and green label on each side of the batteries to indicate up/down and which way to insert back into unit. Had to remove the center part of the labels since there is a plastic device that you wire the batteries through which then plug the whole unit back in. Advise to either draw a diagram of how the wire plug into the second battery as well as the center device or numerous photographs. I did both but that is me, seen too many people just rip out cables with no regard of how to plug back in.
