This book, (Essential Oils Integrative Medical Guide: Building Immunity, Increasing Longevity, and Enhancing Mental Performance With Therapeutic-Grade Essential Oils 2nd Edition) is a truly definitive work for anyone wanting to learn about and understand ins-&-outs of Essential Oils (EOs). It has excellent coverage and information on virtually all aspects of using EOs. I have purchased a number of other books, that supposedly were the be-all-and-end-all with regards to EOs, at a total price of much more than what this book costs. The other books are essentially a waste of $$$ when compared with this book. It is well arranged. Well indexed. Describes each of a wide variety of EOs and suggests how to use them to aid those with a wide variety of medical conditions. The only thing I could not find in this book regarding the use of EOs was how to inject them for therapeutic uses. Otherwise, the information appears to be complete. The one complaint I have regarding this purchase is that the book was sent to me by Anadorn in very shoddy paper envelope and my book was damaged during shipping, thus depreciating the overall value of my purchase. Otherwise this was a great purchase and I highly recommend THIS BOOK above all the other similar books I have purchased.

This is the most straightforward book out of all of the books that I own regarding aromatherapy. Many of the books that I own on aromatherapy are written in a way that is less organized and less to the point regarding treatment of various medical conditions, which is why I continue to refer to this book more often than any other books that I own. I practice aromatherapy daily on a personal level for serious physical conditions as well as for enhancing my mental well being.This book is very similar to 'Essential Oils Desk Reference, 5th Edition' by D. Gary Young except this particular book offers recipes for certain medical conditions that are not offered in the 'Essential Oils Desk Reference, 5th Edition'. I have tried many of the recipes for various conditions and find them to be very helpful. This is an earlier book and does not have a section listing the Young Living products; however, I find both books to be the ones that I refer to the most often for aromatherapy. I would highly recommend this book to medical professionals as well as to those who want to practice aromatherapy exclusively on a personal level.I am not an employ of Young Living nor do I distribute their products; however, I do purchase and use their products with the upmost confidence in their quality.

This book is written by the founder of Young Living Essential Oils, Gary Young. However, it is NOT "brand specific" information. It includes scientific information about essential oils, but better yet ... it tells you which oil(s) to use for specific maladies!For instance, I have a mole on my face and do NOT want to have it surgically removed. I consulted this book, and found the recommendation to use Oregano oil on it. I have been using the oil on it for almost one week, and have started to see a change in the look and feel of the mole. NOTHING I have tried over the years has done this for it!(as of 10/01/07: I have been using the Oregano oil on my moles for a while now. I have very fair skin, and am allergic/sensitive to many things. This oil is no exception. I CANNOT put the oil on my moles every day. I have to put it on maybe every 3 or 4 days. The skin around the moles becomes red and itchy. Also, the moles tend to ooze clear liquid. Be careful with the oils and USE THEM AS DIRECTED!! So far about 3/4 of my largest mole is GONE. By using the oil approx. 1x per week I have dissolved the moles by a significant amount, and the dark color is either gone or much lighter!)The book is easy to use, very informative, and I consult it almost daily for advice. I give it 2 thumbs and 2 toes up! Excellent reference!

I had this book when I owned a massage practice. I loved it because it lists just about every essential oil known to man, what it's good for, and has a cross-reference for finding which oils are good for which purposes. It also has a section of "recipes" for blends. The Pain Blend is very effective, and my customers clamored for it, especially when I bought oils wholesale (not from Young Living -- I'm not a fool) and could sell them for a very reasonable price. When I sold my business, I included this book in the supplies, and I've wished ever since that I'd kept it. So I bought another one.

Has so many oil recipes and such a big variety of information. Best book to help me understand essential oils to better to suit my needs of a natural way of life.

LOVE IT!!! I have ordered several copies of this book and given them away. Chock full of useful information. Covers all the "whys and hows" the oils work in conjunction with our olfactory system. Clear understanding of the effects on other parts of the human physiology as well.

This book has A LOT of information. Very informative reads and although I cannot say everything is sure to work for you, the oil blends and potential remedies to ailments are VAST! This book has an oil blend and discussion about a wide array of things that covers just about everything you can think of. Honestly a bit overwhelming but no complaints on that being in one book.

Mit dem Langenscheid- Wörterbuch sehr gut zu verstehen. Seine Essenzen sind einfach unglaublich, hier dann noch die Erklärungen, warum sie wirken und wie sie ohnen Schäden anzuwenden sind. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Einfach einmalig! Der Inhalt dieses Buches ist ein wahres Gesundheitslexikon. Es sind wirklich hunderte von Indikationen beschrieben u. a. Alzheimer, Krebs, Suchte, Traumata....Dieses Buch gibt genaue Anleitungen welche Öle wie genau bei bestimmten Krankheiten verwendet werden könnten. Zu beachten ist allerdings dringend:Die ätherischen Öle von denen in diesem Buch die Rede ist sind hochwertigste ätherische Öle von THERAPEUTISCHER Qualität. - Diesen Qualitätsstandard gibt es in Deutschland nicht! - Darum kann man diese Öle nur im Ausland bestellen. ([...])Wer sich allerdings wirklich für dieses sehr alte Wissen interessiert & der englischen Sprache mächtig ist (allerdings ist eine Übersetzung recht einfach), der kann hier Heilungswege finden, die ganz ohne Chemie sehr wirkungsvoll sind. Der Autor gehört zu den weltweit führenden Herstellern von ätherischen Ölen in THERAPEUTISCHER Qualität und hat sich selbst mit genau seinen besonderen Ölen geheilt - nachdem er von der Schulmedizin austherapiert worden war. - Die Geschichte von D.
