15 Minutes Alone with God for Men Paperback – September 1, 2014

Are you a busy guy with very little free time? Do you want to get closer to God but don't know where to start? If so, this book is just what you need!I used to wake up at 4:45 every morning to train for triathlons and finally crawl into bed at 10pm, with very little free time between work and home with a baby and wife. Now I just get up at 4:30, read thru this for 15-20 minutes, and then start my training! Yeah, there are some mornings where I'm too tired and hit snooze for 15 minutes, but then I regret it all day because I know what I am missing!This book is written simple enough that even a "beginner christian" can follow along and understand it. I like how it is very thought provoking and makes you think for yourself. I find that it is a great way to start my day. I also realized very quickly that days that I skipped reading, the battle of temptations, lust, etc were much harder to fight than they were on days that I read.

This book has been such a blessing. I have been reading it for about two weeks now and it has been awesome!Having reached a point in my life in which I decided to seek God more, I was looking around for a men's devotional bible that can sort of help me get a jump start. I am sure that there are others which are also great, but you won't regret if you buy this one. Each entry has a "verse for the day", a passage (sometimes short, sometimes long) or commentary, and "action items", which I especially like because it motivates you to write down things or things to start doing. I have never really kept a journal but this book motivated me to do so and it has been great. Each entry is not dated so you can skip around, and ends with a prayer and further verses for reading.I can tell that the author is a wise man because of the advice that is given. Some entries relate to marriage which are still relevant for young, unmarried or soon-to-be married men like myself.Great devotional! Thanks Bob Barnes!

The book is a helpful tool in navigating the bible by inner-connecting several verses of the bible and applying them to real world scenarios in the effort to improve the reader's "walk." It breaks it down into 15 minutes - often less - so it's easily digestible. In fact, it may be a little "too" digestible, as some days left me wanting more analysis or commentary.However, I have to knock it down to 3 stars because it's marketed incorrectly. The title states "15 minutes for men." In truth, it's 15 minutes for men who are married, and men who are fathers. If you are single with no kids, many of the devotionals are less relevant, or just straight up inapplicable. While this was a disappointment, there were still lessons to be learned from those parts.Overall, it was worth the buy, just know your expectations going into it.

This is not the actual daily devotional I've been looking for, but it works. I bought this for my son. He's a teenager. I think he'll appreciate it better when he's a little older, like in his twenties.

My husband really enjoyed this devotional. Shirt and powerful way to start each day.

Got my devotional Saturday. Quick ship and the devotional seems like it's going to be a good one. One thing I like about it is that you can go through it three times, there are 3 check boxes at the beginning of each day's devotional so you know what you've read. Also, there is no particular order so you can go through in order, or search for something that may be calling to you that day.

Thought provoking daily devotional that covers all areas of a man life. Good scripture references to support daily reading as well
