Great for the Price
Use this to spray nitrocellulose guitar lacquer, finished a complete acoustic, 15 or so coats. Fan is only 2 1/2" to 3" wide at a working distance of 4- 5 " which is what I used to lay down a nice, wet coat. Easy to disassemble, easy to clean, fan knob moves when you spray so tape it down. Used this with a little $160 Makita MAC700 Big Bore 2.0 HP Air Compressor I bought on amazon @ 35 PSI. No problems whatsoever. Used water trap and regulator at the gun, it worked fine. this is the same general class of inexpensive Chinese gun sold everywhere. Would prefer a better gun but this is what I could afford, so there it is. Works at 35 PSI, lots of overspray.UPDATE 30 AUG 2020:I changed out my 50' stiff red Craftsman air hose with a 25,' supple, composite, green air hose* for a new guitar getting lacquered. The fan is now to 3-4 inches wide with equivalent lacquer wetting. I have to refill the cup more often, directly related to the increased fan width. I'm even more happy with this gun now, added a star. Use the shortest air hose practical. I should have know this.*YOTOO Hybrid Air Hose 3/8-Inch by 25-Feet 300 PSI Heavy Duty, Lightweight, Kink Resistant, All-Weather Flexibility with 1/4-Inch Brass Male Fittings, Green

Decent gun mini touch-up gun
I used the gun to spray a shellac and dye toner for a maple bathroom vanity. It did a great job due to the fine spray. Because another full-size gun I bought was missing a part, I also used it to spray a water-based polyurethane. It did well on that too - although a larger nozzle would probably have been more suitable for the polyurethane. It worked well on vertical surfaces since there wasn't as much material being sent out of the 1.0mm nozzle, which prevented most drips and runs using light passes. If I were to do a larger piece of furniture like a desk or table, I would go with a full-size gun with a larger cup. You won't need to reload as often. This gun seems to be similar to the Kawasaki 840761 HVLP Detail Spray Gun except the Kawasaki is set up with a 0.8mm spray tip and comes with a wrench and cleaning brush and is listed for $18.89 here on Amazon.Overall, this gun exceeded expectations - especially for the price.

Worst item i have ever purchased from amazon..
I order 6-7k in stuff from amazon per month (for work) and this gun is easily the worst thing i have bought EVER on this site.. and that's saying something.. took a week to show up it got here with peeling chrome (ever have chrome slice you open? fun..) The cup itself leaked along the seam and at the threads even with a stupid amount of pipe tape.. I didn't even bother trying to spray paint, after it leaked thinner everywhere i boxed it up and it's going back..

Gets the job done for an affordable price
I'm usually the one that buys a quality product and pay for quality price when it comes down to just about anything. But for the price, this spray gun performs pretty well. I used it to paint a set of wheels. Used the same gun for urethane base coat and clear coat and it gets the job done. Although the chrome plating on it is a little rough in some areas. So be careful not to get a splinter like I did when I went to grab it and got a piece of plating jabbed in to my finger. I wouldn't say it's a great everyday tool but great for side projects and hobbies. Only time will tell how it holds up.

Very impressive for the price
I refinish leather and vinyl car seats with water-based dyes. I have been using several worn out hvlp sprayers made by a well-known manufacturer that were provided to me by a business partner, and the cost to rebuild/replace them would have been substantial. So I decided to see what kind of results I could get from one of the low-priced sprayers such as this one. After about a dozen jobs, I am very impressed. It gave a good, even coat and spray control is adequate for my purposes. I don't know much about the mathematics of air consumption but it seems to work well with my 6 gal portable compressor. I followed the recommendation of other users (and the manufacturer) and pre-cleaned the parts to remove protective lubricants, and I inspected the spray elements for any leftover metal flash (there was a little). Given the results I have gotten, I plan to order more of these.

TCP is a good brand
Spray pattern is 4 inches at 30 psi, I use full volume flow and adjust my pintle air screw to control spray pattern with my pinky. Sometimes I tape the air screw cause my finger accidentally shuts it it tight spots.

Great Little Gun
I use this gun to spray clear only. It sprays a perfect width fan for motorcycle tins. Cuts down on overspray and wasted material.
