MasterClassSmart Space Non-Stick Collapsible Plastic Measuring Cups - Black / Grey (Set of 4)

I picked these up because I thought they looked neat. And they do, but that's all. I am not convinced they are space-saving or even especially practical/useful. I don't have a set of plain old stainless nesting measuring cups to do a comparison photo with, but I am certain these actually take up more space. The plastic rim is rather chunky and the 1 cup size ends up having a big footprint. Stacking them as shown in one of the photos ends up being surprisingly tall. Unless you very specifically need the nonstick quality, go with the nesting stainless steel type. Just my 2p.

I got these as I was intrigued by the collapsible space saving design and I wanted to see how they fared against my Joseph Joseph Nest measuring cups. Surprisingly, even collapsed, they still take up quite a bit of room when stacked and actually take up more space than my nest cups.The cups do collapse and expand quite nicely and they are well made. You can tell that they’re made from high grade materials. The silicone on these cups does mean that they’re more difficulty to clean than my plastic nest cups which is another thing to consider.At the end of the day, they’re a good set of measuring cups, but there’s better one’s out there with fewer downsides.

I really wanted these to help me tidy that drawer that had loads of bulky items in it, but with the cups collapsed and clipped together, they’re just as bulky as my metal ones. They may be space saving if you separate them, but who wants to go digging around in your drawer for the correct size? Saying that, I do really like these cups. They’re great quality and collapse easily. They’re so convenient because you can just throw them in the dishwasher, unlike the metal ones. They feel sturdy, like they will last a long time. These are nice quality silicone measuring cups in a set of 4, the measurements are in American cup sizes: 1 cup = 250 ml, 1/2 cup =125ml, 1/3 cup 80ml and 1/4 cup 60ml.The cups come attached to a card which gives this sizing information but the cups themselves only have the measurements in cup sizes, it would have been much better if they displayed both cups and mls. They are handy to have for those American recipes and wash well. I am not sure they are really space saving as when folded down together they are quite bulky and take up a fair bit of space in a drawer. They are an OK product.
