Amazing tablet for reading.
So I have a very specific use case I was looking to fulfill and due to this I am not going to look at the this tablet vs that tablet or the mid range specs I am going to discuss what I wanted and what I got with this purchase. I have been looking for a larger than 10.1" e-reader or tablet that runs a current version of Android, 13 or higher, so I can use it to read ttrpg books. I mean yes I will read other books ie: prose, comics, the occasional medical journal, or legal document as well but mainly I wanted something sized correctly with a decent battery and a readable screen. I have looked at Boox, reMarkable, the kindle scribe and various other e-ink readers and either they have been out of my price range or not good with PDFs. Then on the tablet side to get something in the size I wanted I am spending close to a thousand dollars to get an ipad, high end Lenovo, or Samsung. Which if it would have been perfect sure np but all have various comprises and that those prices I don't want to compromise. Then TCL comes out with the nxtpaper series. Ok these look promising. Well I missed the opportunity to get the nxtpaper 11 at a reasonable price. So I waited. Then 2023 TCL announced the nxtpaper 14, my interest was piqued. New version of the screen technology, cool, bigger size, oh even better, and then it doesn't cost a thousand dollars, sold where do I buy one. No seriously where can I buy one? Finally in 2025 it's released for sale, thank you google news for showing me articles about the tablet finally being available in America.

Great for displaying music for performance
Big bright display. Presents notated pieces well in portrait mode. Surprisingly, a two sheet display works well in landscape. I used MobileSheets to store all my music and prepare lists. Being an Android, GPS is included which allows navigation with maps. My only beef is the stylus. It’s easy for it to fall from its assigned magnetic mounting location. They do provide a loop mount but there’s no smooth location. To place it. The case , stylus and tablet are all black so it is difficult to tell if the stylus is stowed. If you drop it during a performance it is very difficult to find in a darkened performance venue. I striped mine with yellow paint marker. The stylus itself works flawlessly. I’d like to get something like an Otter case that would hold the tablet in portrait mode but there are not many alternatives. I consider this tablet a bargain. You will not be disappointed.

Great quality packed into this tablet.
Absolutely I'm love with this tablet. Screen is good, their IX is great, it's powerful and doesn't lag. It's battery life is nice and it chAaged quickly. It's just a nice, powerful tablet that's actually setting the standard for a tablet should cost u like other S brand name products that are over priced letdowns.

Awesome Screen
Is a HUGE tablet, I love the screen and use it in color paper mode always. I have this tablet on my desk and either use as a tablet or extend my PC screen to it. For portable use the XP magic notepad is same screen and I carry with me always for study and notes. The paper mode and mat screen truly make a difference for reading and eye strain. Is well worth the inexpensive price for a tablet this size and capacity. Sooed is more than adequate for my purposes.

For reading and viewing pictures only
This tablet is big however, the GPU is not strong enough to play video faster than 30 fps at full screen. Sometimes the CPU struggles when you’re in a webpage that is displaying video and doing something else at the same time. This is LCD. Therefore, when we watch video, it’s not gonna be vibrant in color or looks nearly as good as OLED tablets. It’s not gonna even look as good as high and LCD tablet either. So if you’re buying this tablet to watch a video spec to be disappointed. I mean, you should know to the difference between watching a video in glossy vs Matt display panel. Overall is a great tablet for everything else that has to do with reading and maybe pictures

Fantastic budget tab but laggy pen response is difficult to swallow
Overall really nice to have the real estate and love the viewing options. Pretty good feel with the one but truly the pen lag / feel of a slow report rate kills me. Great to highlight, terrible for writing. Not certain I’ll keep as that is my primary intention for the device. That said, it is awesome for a budget large tab.
