If you need a one size fits all option
If you have a need of a standard option for a compact 4 in barrel option. This is pretty much perfect. Anything else, needs adjustment. You can expect smaller subcompacts to have a rocking motion even after adjustment but if you’re firm getting the lock to activate, you are positively good to go. Large size guns, you’ll need a very firm delivery push into the trigger guard for active retention lock after you adjust the base of the holster but when it locks its also good to go. Just know what you’re getting into. Not a perfect fit for everything but as for a one size fits all, its pretty much this all day.

I had to make it fit because I love the trigger lock
I'm right handed and have been warring my Safariland 578 7TS GLS Pro-Fit for years now. Then I badly injured you shoulder requiring extensive arthroscopic repair. 6 Months recovery, I'm 1/3 of the way with my physical therapy. I always practice left handed shooting so I purchased the left handed model of my 578 7TS Pro-Fit right handed holster. Both fit a Beretta 92. With minor alterations to the trigger lock mechanism my right handed one now fits my Beretta PX4 Full. So I mistakenly assumed it's counter (left) part would be the same. WRONG! I did finally win the alteration battle but these Right/Left holsters ARE NOT mirror images of the other. Heat guns, Dremel grinding and cutting, more reshaping with clamps and high-temp heat gun and 3 weeks of persistence it works. Bummer is now I've healed enough that I can draw right handed again. I must admit it's my error for not looking close enough. My Right and one on Safariland is part number 578-450-411; the left is 578-450-412. Bottom line check ALL the number not what you see on the Amazon page alone. My right-up of the right-side holster on Safarilan's web page is still posted there on how I modified it over two days to fit. Draw well and be safe

Lock feature
Comfortable, had to practice the new locking system. It was more involved than the older thump break

Fit and secure
Bought this for my Canik TP9-sfx. I wasn’t familiar with Safariland products, but nothing specific. The security adjustment was pretty simple and really holds the pistol. No problem with the pistol coming out while running or moving during practicing. It’s taking me some time to get used to the release mechanism when drawing, but it’s pretty intuitive. Just takes a bit of practice.

Order from a different seller than Amazon.
Holster is great, fits multiple firearms. Works for the Canik Elite SC, also has enough room for the optic cut. But order from one of the other sellers than Amazon. I had to return 4 back because they kept sending Right handed ones. The other seller I used got it right on the first shot.

Fits what I need it to
As a left handed shooter I'm limited in what I can typically have as accessories. It usually boils down to me making do with what I have. I have a Glock 17 with a red dot, and I use an M9 at work. The holster issued to me is right handed, so it doesn't really work out well for me. I went searching for a multi purpose holster that was left handed and could hold a handgun with an optic. This fit the bill perfectly. I can train in my spare time with my Glock and then take my battle belt to work and use it for my M9 with no adjustment (though I know that several handguns require minor adjustments). This holster is great. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Safariland lives up to its reputation
These things just work. You have to get used to the new weight distribution and the "comfort" of the paddle. After wearing them for a few days they seem to fit nicely.Snug fit, the release works well, so deployment is not an issue.Highly recommend these for OWB use - you need to wear a longer outside garment obviously for concealment.Had these before and returned them - either an upgrade or wrong unit ordering on my part - but this model is awesome.Enjoy your day
