My favorite bar tape is Lizard Skins
My favorite bar tape is Lizard Skins, but it has two faults, it is expensive and it gets slick in the summer with sweat buildup. The arundel Gecko tape works quite well when wet, no issues with durability, and has a nice feel. Additionally, if you are using Di2 sprint shifters and need to cut the tape there is no issue with the rest of the tape tearing (issue with lizard skins sometimes). I have read a few complaints about there not being enough for the whole bar....i have no clue what people are doing to need that much. If wrapped properly there is plenty for a normal 42cm bar.

Great Bar Tape!
Only bar tape I use. I ride bare handed most of the time, and this has a great feel even with a little sweat on your hands. It does come in a little shorter length then most of the other brands, you have wrap sparingly in order for you to reach. But I haven't had a problem on 44cm bars or 42cm.

Not Enough Tape!
Well, I was pretty excited for this stuff given what I had read about it. It was super cheap and I was impressed by the amount of cushion and grip when I opened the package. That all faded when I started taping the bars. This stuff does not stretch. At all. I pulled as hard as I could on it but there was no budging. No big deal though, right? Well not when you come up extremely short! There was only enough tape to wrap a few inches passed my shifters. I just figured I'd back it up and try to somehow stretch it a little more. That's when the tape showed its downfall. The adhesive on the back is so tacky that it stayed stuck to the bars and tore chunks out of the tape with it. Now I'm out $20 and about 20 minutes of my time. Save yourself the trouble and don't get this junk.

great tape
It's been years since i've used this tape and tried it again recently for my latest build. It goes on well, doesn't stretch too much, but isn't too thick to make taping around the hoods too complicated and cumbersome. It just seems to go on well. It's great tape, and has been for many years. If you want to avoid spending up to 50 dollars on other tape, try this tape.

YES It's Too Short! YES It's My Favorite!
Yes, It's too short, and Yes, it's my favorite tape so far!PROS: This tape has a nice grip but it's not super squishy and rubbery like the cork tapes. It has a sort of smooth finish on the outside layer and the edges are tapered more so the overall look and feel is more smooth. I like that the logo is fairly small and on the edge, making it easy to completely cover while wrapping. I've started hating the over-the-top branding on everything bike related, so I find myself removing stickers, painting over logos, etc. Like, I probably won't use Cinelli tape again for this reason, but I also don't like the squishy rubber foam feel.CONS: It's too short! It's annoyingly too short by about two wraps. I think maybe, just maybe, you could make it if you don't wrap around the brake levers--But! it would cost the manufacturer about 1 cent more to include enough tape! Anyway, be careful, and figure out in advance where you want to sacrifice your tapeless area.I have added a photo to show the tape texture and also where I filled in the end with some hemp twine that I found at Walmart. I was planning to finish the end with twine anyway, but not 2 inches of it!

Grippy Tape
I bought the black Gecko Bar Tape and did my first wrap. It went on well and I really noticed the grip on first ride. The cushion on the ride was noticeable too.

loved it
installed a few days ago and it feels great-- tacking and medium cushion. Had no issues with length, cut off maybe 5 inches i didnt need at the end.

Horrible
The tape is 3mm thick but made from foam without gel. The handlebar becomes sponge. Protection layer not stretchy but peels off very easily. Adhesive layer is pure nightmare. It sticks deadly to everything and makes undo or rewrap nearly impossible. "Grip" is joke. Upper layer is very slippery despite of texture. Toss to recycle bin.

Good. Better than expected
Good. Better than expected. Can be washed so that colored or white tape would not show dirt. Easy to do a good job at instalation
