I wear this everywhere except the opera! My money, credit cards, glasses, phone, comb, notes, keys, pen, etc are always on me. I never have to worry about whether I have my purse, or stop to gather things when I'm in a hurry. I think it would be a life changer in a home or workplace emergency. Either grab it on your way out the door, or keep it on all day. Am thinking about adding an encrypted SD card with all essential information ( you know, insurance paperwork, bank account numbers; all those things people tell you to keep in an emergency kit) in one pocket.

This vest has far more pockets than I will ever use. Some of them I don't even think I've found yet! Some of the pockets are so small, I wonder if they would even contain an Apple Air Tag, while at least two are large enough to contain a full-size iPad Pro, and still get the zipper closed. However, I cannot imagine actually putting a tablet into either of those pockets, because then I could not sit down without fear of damaging the tablet. Just because it will fit in those pockets doesn't mean it's a good place to carry them.I plan on wearing this vest on a cruise this summer, just because of all the pockets; therefore, I have already worn it quite a bit from home, while the weather permitted.It seems fairly comfortable, and of a good weight - VERY windproof, and not too heavy for warmer weather. I had to remember that in the movies of the old West, the men in those movies wore long-sleeved shirts AND a vest, and their weather often had to be in three digits (F). So I guess I can wear it on a summer trip.My biggest complaint with this vest is that it's about 4" too long, in that it gets in the way of me getting to my pants pockets. This is truly only a minor aggravation, as it's fairly easy to work around it.Overall, the quality of the fabrics and the workmanship seems excellent so far, and I'm looking forward to seeing how well it works for me on the long trip.

This was my second Scott vest, and likely my last. Just two days after the return window, the right hand exterior pocket zipper pull detached. I tried to repair it but don’t see a way to fix Overall enjoyment and I will continue to use the vest without a secure closure on that pocket, just not happy about the fail.

Great travel vest (probably the best) but be advised: sizing chart recommended a Large for me. I ordered an XL because in most shirts or jackets that’s what I usually wear. I had to exchange that size for a XXL because XL was too snug to wear with intended items in the pockets. That’s the whole idea of the Scotty Vest. So, ORDER TWO SIZES LARGER. You’ll thank me later.
