ColumbiaSilver Ridge II Cargo Shorts

Ever felt like you couldn't decide to wear shorts or trousers from unpredictable weather? I certainly do when living in the UK, and couldn't be more happy with this purchase, the legs once zipped off fit well in the pockets and zip back on easily enough when it gets a bit more chilly. They're lightweight and seem to have a ripstop fabric which is great too, great quality for the price!

I ordered a 34 Long in black, but they turned up green! However, I liked the green so I kept them. They are very precise fit, I am 34 waist and these are bang-on, a little on the tight side, but I have probably out on weight over lockdown and at least I don't have to keep hitching them up. I have a 33 leg, these are 34 which is just right for walking boots, but would be too long for ordinary shoes. They are very lightweight and I would suggest Spring/Summer walking only. They are not water proof or water resistant at all, but they dry out very quickly, being so lightweight. Otherwise very comfortable with useful pockets and a belt included and I would recommend them.

Overall happy with these. Good pair of walking trousers. Plenty of pockets with a zip on one side for money/valuables and light weight. Conversion to shorts is easy and the legs are clearly labelled for reattaching. The only warning I’d give is to go for a size up from your usual size. I’m a 34 in trousers from other brands and these are definitely a bit snug.

Used for a long weekend away as limited items allowed in travel bag.. departure and return worn as trousers.. couple days sun so perfect worn as shorts... found them to be perfect weight for warm climate but maybe a bit baggie around legs.. But I think possibly that's the fashion now?? Great quality well made product.. plenty pockets for wallet, passport, reading glasses and sun glasses with lots spare ... pack down well too.. I would highly recommend..

Really well-cut shorts that are as comfortable climbing as on a bike. They dry incredibly fast after heavy rain but aren’t sweaty.Unlike others I didn’t find the lack of secure pockets a problem - the Velcro is good quality - and they have 2 back pockets where lots of ‘technical’ shorts and pants weirdly only have 1.Let down by poor stitching QC: after 2 months I’ve had to repair both back pockets and 1 inseam.

Just back from a walking holiday. Took 2 pairs of shorts, but wore these each day. Very comfortable, good fit and excellent value for the price. Delivered on date promised.

I am very pleased with these trousers. Comfortable. I might add a slight caution: the sizing is a tad tight, especially around the thighs. The compensating factor is the stretch of the fabric. Love the multiple pockets. Highly recommend these summer weight trousers.

Beware that these trousers are not built for anyone who has normal sized legs. Waist sizing is on the small size so go a size up, but the main problem is that there is absolutely no give in the upper leg quad area. Trying the trousers on I could hardly get my leg into them before giving up for fear of ripping the fabric. It's that tight and I'm not a body builder with massive quad muscles.I really don't understand how Columbia could seriously design something like this unless they were thinking that the trousers are built for children?Unfortunately I had to send these back as they were unwearable.
