Wesbar2823284 Deluxe Black Right Marine Tail Light

It was used on our boat trailer. One of the lights had gotten broken. It was easy to find a replacement on Amazon that matched the original. This light filled that need. Installed quickly and easily.

My husband used this light to replace the broken one on his fishing boat trailer. It works great.

I just put this and  Wesbar 2823283 Trailer Light  on my trailer. This is the passenger/curb/right side light.To wire it, you push the stripped wire end into the connector in the back. The spring on mine was a little too strong to shove twisted wire through, so I took off the front lens and pulled the spring from the front while pushing the wire in the back. We'll see if it maintains electrical contact, but if it doesn't I'll just solder it.Build quality is fine, especially at $6.

So I just got my light to be used on my boat trailer. The first time I used it last weekend, the light blew instantly upon hitting the water. When I got home, I removed the 4 screws to find that there is NO gasket. Just plastic on plastic. No wonder water got in and knocked out the bulb. I called Wesbar, and they told me that they do not sell on Amazon themselves, which doesnt seem correct according to the listing. Then went on to tell me that it is not a waterproof or submersible light! I said wait, it says MARINE! They said they were sorry, but it is not waterproof and would do nothing for me. My fault I guess for assuming that a marine light would be able to get wet. STAY AWAY! Thankfully was only a $10 loss. Live and learn.

This light matches existing trailer light. Easy to install. Did not have same wire connections as existing light or instructions for installation. Had to take the light assembly apart to visibly see how the wires connect. As it turns out, the wires just needed to be pushed into the holes in the back of the light. The holes have a metal cover which holds the wires intact. Much easier to install than original fixture.

These were a simple and easy replacement for my existing corroded tail lights. I had previously bought some spray di-electric grease and after removing the lenses and spraying all the metal down well with the grease I was able to install both of these in about 30 minutes. They work nice, look sharp and hopefully will provide me with many years of little or no maintenance. Highly recommend.

Exact bolt on replacements for old ones that were falling apart. Existing wiring and mounting worked out fine with these.

The light works, however, it doesn't look or feel like it will be able to stand up to the harsh saltwater environment. At least they're cheap.

Bought these to replace LED Submersible lights that came on my boat trailer that continued to fail. This are old school but work without any issues every time. Would recommend any day.
