It is a great horsemanship book! It really covers the basics well and is written in a way that most anyone can gain knowledge by reading it, especially younger riders (even if they don’t rope).

The book is extremely helpful for the beginner roper. However, with the title how to practice and compete, I felt there should have been more fundamentals of competition for the more experienced roper to sharpen their skills. Would reccommend for someone that is just getting started.

Fun to go through and read how many things have chaged with the art of team roping.But also, very interesting to see how and why Jake and Clay are 7 time champions.

this book is exteremely helpful in every aspect of team roping. i've applied some of the exercises to my horses and myself. my ropin has significantly improved

I bought this for my grandson who is learning to rope. It is an excellent book for that.

Oh my god!!! I just started roping a few months ago and have been doing great, eventhou I am not even roping off a horse yet, I just got this book, (it arrived in 4 days!) and it has helped me hone my skills and makes me aware of how I am roping "the fundamentals" so if someone asks me "how" i am roping that dummy and can tell them how do it. Good read with good practical info. Would buy again, if I didnt already own it lol.
