Flying Dutchman New Spiral #2/0 Six Dozen Scroll Saw Blade Pack

When new, these blades cut very cleanly and fast. However, they do dull after a short time and often just snap as they age. That, I think, is normal for blades of any sort so I don't downgrade them for this. Spiral blades are definitely the way to go with scroll saw projects. With practice, cutting with them becomes second nature and much easier than with traditional blades.I had these blades rated as a five, but after using many of them, I noticed that the smallest blade is a little inconsistent related to strength. Some blades are fine and last an appropriate amount of time, but others are weak and stretch easily without much pressure. It seems the strength of the metal used isn't consistent from blade to blade.

These are excellent little blades. That said, they're don't last long for prolonged non-ferrous metal cuts, which is why I bought them in the first place. I suspect they're perfect for very short/small cuts.

I've gone through 6 of these blades so far, and not one have lasted 5 minutes.Olsen or shark tooth blades last through a complete project more times than not.
