Q: Does anyone use this tray in dishwasher with heating element in use?

I just washed it by hand. It seams like a sturdy plastic and I think top shelf dishwasher should be ok

Sorry I don't know what kind of plastic. The tray works well for me and keeps me from burning my hands when I remove it from the microwave.

Q: Does this dish holder get hot ? Would it get to hot Handle after use in microwave?? Does these dish holders come in colors and sizes???

No it will not get hot. As far as I know this is the only size and color that it comes in. It works great, bought one for mother too.

Q: What is the diameter of the plate holder? I recently purchased a 13" in diameter that was too big for my mic and am looking for something smaller

Mr. Diaz, the diameter of the plate holder is 8.8 in.(8 3/4") in diameter. One more think, don't last with the original shape for a long time. After 2 weeks became to lost the shape around the border. According to my wife experience is not good for high pwr. microwaves.
