Compared to a roller - better smoother finish, less mess, more ease of application. Once you've used a paint pad you won't want to go back. The only downside might be that a pad isn't as good at applying paint to all of a very rough surface. For ordinary surfaces, they're great.

I have restored old wooden floors and new wood floors for 48 years, and the nine-inch painting pad is the best for laying down a fine finish, and I work out of a five-gallon bucket using a threaded broom handle.This method provides me with a great sightline and field of vision as I feather the finish with fairly long strokes after cutting in the edges with the appropriately sized paint brush. Practice makes perfect!

This is so easy to use, uses less paint than a roller & way less mess! I painted my 2300 sqft house using a few of these over a week & I have been blown away by the quality & ease. Also they can be washed & reused very easily. You can find the Bear brand easier at hardware stores so I gave it a try but the quality was no where near the quality of Shur-line, so I’ll never switch brands!!! Plus you’ll safe $ because you’re using way less paint!

these pads are awesome! I used to use rollers, but painting with these are cleaner, faster and better overall, especially for cut-in jobs such as around windows or ceilings! Very little drip! Np overtouching!

Stained the deck, cedar siding and interior walls with these pads. They hold a lot of paint, force paint into the grain if you apply forward then backward and are very durable. Cheap enough to through away. Great product. Tip: wrap the pad, in the holder, with a plastic grocery bag for use the next day. Paint will not dry out this way and you can continue with the same pad next day!

I have used Shur-Line pad painters for years and years. They spread the paint quickly and do not show paint brush "lines" and it is a much cleaner look than using a roller. All their trim painters, etc., are terrific. Very easy to use. You can clean them by taking a little time to soap them up and run them under cold water.

I used to buy this brand of paint pad every time I needed to paint. I love paint pads for ease of use and less mess. The quality is not the same as some of the pads that I've had for years. I'm lucky to get one room painted with one of these, whereas the old ones could be washed several times. These sort of fall apart while you are washing them.. I don't know if I will repurchase. They do leave a nice finish, just plan on using a fresh one for each room. Consider them disposable.

This is my new favorite way to paint smooth surfaces! The foam backing holds lots of paint and the bristles really do a good job of putting the paint on smoothly. I like that the pad painter will fit into a gallon ziplock bag. I put a couple tablespoons of water in the bag and place the pad in the bag without cleaning and it will keep the paint on the pad fresh overnight. Saves on clean-up time if you don't finish in one day.These do a good job even when the bristles are nearly worn out, though I don' t recommend it since the new pads are reasonably priced.

Usualmente no doy valoración a los productos que adquiero sin antes usarlos. Excelente herramienta para pintar; su uso lo hace muy fácil ademas de que abarca uno mas secciones de pared a pintar y lo mejor que no se dejan las cerdas como lo hacen las brochas o los rodillos, es decir, queda muy liso y su terminación es buena; solo hay que considerar no recargar demasiado para evitar escurrir las paredes; como se hace con cualquier otro aditamento.
