If all you care about is protecting your furniture it works
I was hoping this would dampen some of the bass vibrations on my desk HomePod. This actually amplifies any bass/vibrations. I am guessing when Apple designed this they accounted for this and designed it in such a way to minimize as much as possible any bass thumping to the furniture. Going in the trash.
