Little Witch was one of my favorite childhood books and I'm utterly THRILLED to find that it is still in print because when I tried to find it to see if I could gift it to my niece last Christmas, I found it on Amazon and was OVER THE MOON that it is still in print. This book is a masterpiece, and as a best-selling author myself, and an author of children's literature, I can say honestly that this book set the bar so high for me as a child, with its magnificent writing, Little Witch is one of the reasons I grew up to be a novelist. The book is a miracle and I'd suggest that every mom of a young girl make sure that this book is front and center on your library shelf. It gives hope and inspiration to young girls no matter what the challenges they face in their families and day-to-day lives. The Winged One --Amelia Kinkade, author of Whispers From the Wild: Listening to Voices From The Animal Kingdom (New World Library), and The Winged One (CreateSpace.)

What Fun!
What Fun! Another children's classic I'd never read, but really enjoyed....as an old person.Named #7 in a School Library Journal poll of top 100 children's novels, this 1953 classic also topped annual lists of most in demand out-of-print books. This is the cute little 60th anniversary reprint after 30 years.'Boil and bubble, Boil and brew! Now I cast a spell on you!'Minx is a sweet little 9 year old witch who so wants to go to school and make friends, but her nasty witch of a mother, Madame Snickasnee makes her stay home making Black Spell Brew she can use on local villagers.Denied any fun, Minx risks her mother's wrath by sneaking out of the house, mixing her own potions, discovering a happy new world and a wonderful secret.Delightful little story! How can I not give this 5 Stars!

A Trip Down Memory Lane
I must have read this book at least a dozen times when I was in elementary school--it is the main reason why I am such an avid reader now. It is a purely magical book, and just looking at it brings back the magic of childhood. This edition is a beautiful edition of the old classic. It is paperback, but the cover is a thicker, harder paper than most paperbacks--it's kind of like a halfway mix of paperback and hardcover. The pages of the book are also very nice. They're thick and shiny--built to last. And if we don't get another edition of this wonderful book for another 60 years, then I'm very glad that the book was made as it is.If you have read Little Witch before and you want to read it again, this edition is wonderful. If you haven't read Little Witch before and you would like to now, it is equally wonderful. If you get this book, be prepared to step back into your childhood for a few wonderful hours. And if you are a parent who wants to buy this for your child, you can't go wrong with this book. This book made reading magical for me when I was little--it made me love reading. Maybe that same magic that I found in this book will enchant your children in the same way it did me, and instill in them a love of reading that will last for a lifetime.

Perfect quality
I remember reading this book as a child, and was so excited to buy it for my elementary aged girls. Nice, heavy-weight paperback cover. Thick pages that don’t easily rip — if you have multiple kids, IYKYK. Sweet and endearing old illustrations.

As good as I remember.
Even though Little Witch is a Children's book and I was in my late teens or early twenties when I first read it. (I bought a used copy in a thrift store) I never cared about a books' level. If it looked interesting I'd read it. In this case I wasn't disappointed, so when I found the 60th Anniversary Edition on Kindle, I bought it. Again I wasn't disappointed. It's still a good story. It may have different illustrations but it's fun to see a different artists' vision of the story.

Great read aloud
My 9 year old son was kept interested. My 6 year old daughter was in raptures - especially at the surprise reveal at the end. I bought it to read in the month of October and it was a good decision.

My absolute favorite book from childhood. Buy it before it goes out of print again.

This was a half forgotten story from my childhood
So glad I found this book. There was an excerpt from Little Witch in a book of collected pieces my Dad got me when I was young. In the excerpt, it ends with the conjuring of the centaur. But for many years I wanted to know what happened in the rest of the story. All the remembered were the detail of the children turned into flowerpots. So glad I found it.
