Q: How is the item packaged for delivery?

my 4 rolls were in pairs in a big clear plastic bag with the label attached to the outside. the tape was also inside a roll but clearly marked. no issues with delivery as they are very big but also very light

Q: Can you use this under carpet underlay?

I anticipate that you could but question why you would want to. If you are replacing the carpet underlay I would just buy a better and thicker underlay. As to the sonic gold underlay I used it with underfloor heating and a vinyl floor but the vinyl floor was very poor quality ( though not cheap as it happens) . I re laid with 12mm laminate which was cheaper and thus far perfect. SONIC GOLD was a very sound purchase and easy to cut, lay and joint. You probably wont find a better value xps foam underlay.

I used on 8mm laminate and it gave a good solid feel to the floor to what was lower price laminate
