Time will tell
Just purchased and planted these with strawberries. My first observation is that there should be something to help keep the shape when you hang them. The weight of the soil makes the bags collapse at the handles. I added some pieces of wood to help keep them separated. Since they were just planted, I can’t speak to how they will perform for growth or durability.

Hanging Cloth Planter Holds Eleven Strawberry Plants Indoors
Product arrived on time. No loose threads on Number #1 of Two similar cloth planters. No concern with the depth of the first from the bottom series of Three (3) sewn holes. Shd be adequate to establish a firm botton of One-to-two-inches of Coco coir to absorb water fill from above. Will need a drip tray below the hanging cloth planter indoors. Suggest adding Coco coir only, then pop the strawberry plants out thru the holes from within being careful to expose only the crown of each plant to the outside air leaving the root system covered w Coco coir. Continue to add strawberry plants to the cloth planter from bottom to top, covering each higher row of plants w Coco coir. The One-inch diameter holes look snug enough to keep the strawberry plants in their base without spilling Coco coir on the floor. Holding back Stars #4 and #5 pending a successful mounting from the ceiling of a very tall east facing window and the results of a first feeding.

Works well
We planted Ozark Beauty plants in ours. Lost 2 plants near the bottom because water didn't reach them. Because they get so heavy I put them in big plant saucers. That helps with moisture wicking into the bottom. The plants are thriving......look better than when they were in the ground. Producing a handful of berries every other day. Not enough for jam but great for yogurt or cereal. We kept one bag unplanted. As the plants send out plantlets we'll just put them in the holes of the empty one.

These bags are VERY heavy
These bags are easy to use and my strawberries are doing great so far. These bags are VERY heavy when full - and even more so when they are watered. I did not want to use the hooks that came with it and I initially tried a shepherd's crook which bent over under the weight of the bags. This pipe T that my husband made is working well. I am getting a bit of white area on the outside of the bag - kind of looks like fungus but I am still trying to figure that out.

New to this product but am happy so far
This is the first time I have used this product so it's definitely in trial and error mode. Easy to put together and seems really durable. My only question about this product in the beginning was how many strawberry plants it holds and I found out it holds roughly 4 plants. Hoping this turns out to be a fun gardening experience for apartment life.

Needs a lot of dirt
Pretty heavy to hang because they require a lot of dirt and water. Some holes don’t seem to get enough water soaking down in them. We started with dehydrated roots in each hole, almost all started to turn green and grow but then some just turned brown and died. We turn them daily for even sun. Can’t stress enough that these are very heavy.

Hard to water
I had one hell of a time trying to get water all thoughout the dirt. Water would soak into the top later of dirt and start coming out of the holes on the sides and not watering the roots at the bottom. Maybe its because I grew cherry tomatoes in it.

Good gift for the home gardener
This was a gift so I don't have ongoing info on it but I helped in planting and hanging it so I can say it was well designed and made so I expect that it will produce strawberries once enough time has gone by. We couldn't get bare root strawberry plants locally so had to order them online and the ones that arrived specifically said not to plant in a hanging planter but we did and they are doing well so far.
