Book is full of great advice. Author builds chapters to help even the novice gardener feel they can be successful. Great pictures. Great details. Loved the sections on how to set up different types of gardens. Lists all edible plants that can be grown in prairies and says how, when, etc to plant. Especially loved the plants that were listed as challenging (for the enthusiastic gardener) and will steer clear. Seems like a great guide book and will come in handy!

I am buying my third copy of this book to give as a gift. This is a great book and includes everything you need to know from planting to harvesting. I reference it all the time! And I love that the information is local - unlike a lot of what is out there online. With the help of this book I have even ventured into growing some different things. Got my first crop of garlic last year!
