A really good read for budding brewers
This is a quick read. It's well thought out and logical in terms of what, when, how, and why. I especially liked the fact that it assigned homework, which doesn't take long at all, but will force you to actually put your thoughts together and formulate a plan, instead of just leaving it stored upstairs, never to come to fruition. Thanks for the read! Hopefully I'll stop in the brewpub one of these days if I make it out that way. Nice work.

Not enough substance to warrant a recommendation to purchase.
There are some helpful points and I found it useful. It's an easy read and presented in a logical manner. This is why I gave this book three stars. I couldn't give it a more positive rating because I think you should borrow it and not buy it. The author basically made a pamphlet into a book. What I mean by that is there is not too much to this book. He doesn't even number the pages, the page layout makes the book look thicker than what it is, and there are huge gaps in the pages without typing to take up space. In the manner it was laid out, it's a rip-off. Imagine your high school teacher gave you an assignment that your research paper had to be at least 100 pages long instead of x number of words long. You could make the margins bigger, have gaps in the pages that don't contain any writing, and give the bottom of each page a two inch margin to get to your 100 page assignment. I hope this analogy helps. Give it a thumbs up if it does.

Easy read, straight forward advice
This is an easy read and stirs up plenty of ideas. I liked the real life examples Dan uses to drive his point. There is ample useful information written in a conversational tone. I plan to read it again as I'm writing my business plan.

good, informative book
I am enjoying woodske's voice in writting... I can see myself walking around his little brew pub having a consulting session through the pages of the book. Written in plain english no holds barred... I look forward to work7ng on this project in the future.

Not bad but the Nano Brewery Guide was much more complete.
I like Dan's writing. He has a light and conversational tone which makes his material very easy to read. I enjoyed his first Guide to Opening a Nanobrewery a great deal. This guide seems a little rushed. Dan highlights some very good points to consider but the practical advice seemed a little light on. I understand that state and local laws will vary a great deal between locations but I would have expected a little more specifics in terms of an operational guide. There are definitely some great takeaways from this book, especially his customer service systems that make all new visitors feel welcome. Overall a solid read that will help refine the questions you need to ask further.

interesting to read, no big help...
This book is quite interesting to read, but its more a reflection than an actual guide, its more about the thinking you have to do to start your brewery and don’t really provide any technical help about the process... i would recommend it but don’t have too much expectations...

Wanted something more.
Brief information. 5% of opening and operating a brewpub is here. The rest, you have to actually do.
