A fun book to stoke a child’s imagination and storytelling ability

Brought this to my preschool class and let them talk about what was happening and how the characters were feeling inside about what was happening. It helped teach them that two very different people, from very different places, who likely have nothing in common, can still care for one another and help each other out.

This book is so simple and sweet. The art work is wonderful. I enjoy looking at this book by myself as an adult and also with children. It brings a smile to my face every time.

I bought this book for my daughter and we LOVE it. It's one of our favorites. It's so sweet and full of love all through art. I need to buy one for all the children in my family!

I love this picture storybook. It is a bit of a strange premise but the author/illustrator so beautifully capture emotions that even young children will relate to. The story is very sweet and illustrates simply but profoundly the feelings related to kindness, being cared for and also how wonderful it feels to care for someone else. A lovely story share with a child. Sweet ending.

My two year old son loves this book and loves to take turns with us telling the story. He stares at the illustrations to read expressions and absorbs the story in a way he doesn't with the books we read over and over. He memorizes those texts, but here we build the story together with each "reading." I also love sharing it with him.

I adore this book. I often buy it as a gift for people.It's all about how important (and easy) it is to connect with complete strangers, especially when one stranger is going through a difficulty.

A very beautiful book that you can 'read' in any language, to anyone. Highly recommended. There are no words, just pictures, characters and a wealth of visual information ...like a puzzle. I 'read this to an six year old and a seventeen year old in the same room at Christmas! result...Girls and boys, old and young..its for everyone who has lost someone and found something ....

One of my top ten best ever picture books .... a wonderful depiction of the tender relationship between a grandfather figure and a lost child. And no words ... the pictures tell it all. A classic.

Lovely and touching book! Beautifully illustrated, I highly recommend

We loved this book, because you can make up your own story (but the story line is fairly evident)So you can even sit with a child and ask him/ her to tell you what they think is happening in the picture.It's a touching little story about a baby clown who falls off his travelling circus trains and is taken in by a farmer for the night.He feeds him, nurtures him, plays with him...and the next day......Beautiful book

This is a heart warming and wonderfully engaging book, without saying a word! It will definitely be on my birthday gift list for younger children - even early elementary ages kids would probably enjoy it - not to mention adults! Such a clever idea.
