It is dim, but provides as much light as a night-light. I really didn't expect more of it. We use it in a location with no electricity and it has been used for 10 months, several times a night for short periods of about 2 to 10 minutes each. I've dropped it twice.It works just as well as it did when it came in.Are there better options? Perhaps. But, this one works as advertised and works consistently.Bottom line: Would I buy it again? Yes. If it continues to work like it has for these past 10 months, I would buy it for other locations as well.

I bought this to replace an identical light that after about four years finally gave up and stopped working. This product is pretty straightforward: it is made of plastic, runs only on batteries (four AA, not included), and works by pressing on the top. It comes with a screw if you want to hang it, and some Velcro if you want to stick it somewhere. It provides adequate light for use as a closet light, inside cabinet light, or other such location where there is no way to plug anything in. Since it is all plastic and can feel a little flimsy (the top seems loose since it is hinged to be able to be the on-off switch), I would not recommend dropping it on hard surfaces, but with just a bit of care, it should last for years, as my last one did.

Died very quickly, not bright at all, regret buying. You can find smaller puck lights at Target with 3x brightness and much better battery life

This was the 2nd tap light battery I bought on Amazon. The first was a different company that wouldn’t turn on at all. Thinking GE was a better product I bought this one. Even with 4 new AA batteries and reseating them several times, it either wouldn’t turn on or when it did the light was so dim that it wasn’t useful. Save your money! I’ve returned both of them and am still looking for a good working product.

as the battery power weakens the light dims as well. makes sense that it doesn’t last too long due to using a small battery but i don’t think it should dim when it’s still working.

Good value GE & 3M combination

I have an entry way closet for guests to put their coats and bags and things, but the problem is, it has no light. After reading many reviews on different products, I decided on this one and I am happy with my decision! It was so easy to install and it does the trick to provide light when I need it. It makes a big difference in my little space without being overpowering…it’s a perfect soft light. I highly recommend!

The light uses a lot of energy and therefore kills the batteries very quickly. Also, the light is not very bright. I wasted my money. I would not recommend.

More like a night light, but not bright enough to light up even 5 feet away in a room. We have a room with the light switch 2 feet from the entrance and were hoping this would light the way to the switch, but it was much too dim to do so.
