The first in the series, and the thinnest.
If you liked the worlds of Episodes 4 -6, consider this book. It provides purely conjectural but nicely laid out cutaways of the principle vehicles from the middle episodes, concluding with Jabba's barge. Lots of 2-page layouts and a double gatefold of the Death Star. No speeder bike, sadly.

Star Wars Tech is Amazing
Whether you love or hate a specific Star Wars movie for it's awful directing, acting, writing, or plot, the tech in Star Wars has always been pretty cool. This book breaks down many of the most famous and iconic devices, vessels, and ships into their component parts for all the techno-magical eye-candy you could want.

Star Wars IV through VI cross-sections
The media could not be loaded. This includes most of the main vehicles from the original Star Wars movies. At 32 pages long it is short but the overall size of the book is quite impressive (10 1/2 X 14 inches). The details are also impressive but not totally overdone. This is like a cross-section book for younger people. I still found it interesting enough to buy the cross-section books of episodes I, II, and III. I find these books to be quite cool. They have added the appropriate people to populate the ships, such as Han at the controls of the Millennium Falcon. It's a nice touch. The art style is impressive.Vehicles included. The blockade runner Tantive IV.The Victory-class Star Destroyer. The Tie fighter. The Death Star (displayed on the fold out pages). The sand peoples Sandcrawler. The Millennium Falcon. The T-65 X-Wing fighter. The BLT-A4 Y-Wing fighter. The Tie Advanced X1 fighter (Darth Vaders ship). The AT-AT.The Snowspeeder. The AT-ST.The Slave I (Boba Fett's ship).Jabba the Hutt's Sail Barge.I recommend it.

LOVE this book!!!!
Man, I absolutely love this book. I started with this one, and it quickly led me to buy all the "Cross-Sections" books. As just a simple Star Wars fan, I've found all these books to be a blast to read through. The graphics are incredible and the info provided is also a lot of fun - especially if you are a Star Wars RPG'er, or even if you just enjoy the films.

Awesome illustrations, but buyer beware
I ordered what I thought was supposed to be a "new" book. Yes it was published in the late 90s, but there was an option to buy a new one. So I went with that. Package was delivered today with the book. Was excited to flip through it. To my dismay, when I got a few pages in, I noticed that pages 7 through 14 were missing. Not some publishing or printing defect. Like a whole quarter of the book is just gone. They had been removed. There are also scratches on the back cover that were on it when it arrived. They also put a dumb sticker on it, which is a pain to remove.I am not sure if this was just some oversight, and someone sent me a used and basically useless book. Or if it was dressed up to look like it was brand new with shrink wrap and a sticker and then sold . It seems to me like this was maybe a deliberate way to unload a old and defective book and hope that no one called them on it or just didn't want to take the time too. This is very frustrating. I wanted this book as a Star Wars collector. I can not actually read this entire thing or use it as a collectible. I want the whole book. Im torn on just sending it back for refund or trying to manage to some kind of replacement deal. These books are old and possibly out of print, I wanted to get one before I could not get a hard copy anymore.

poco extenso
El libro es correcto, las ilustraciones algo confusas, más pensadas para un adulto que para un niño, pero no son claras.Es poco extenso para el precio que tiene.Aún así es recomendable para cualquier fan de Star Wars
