Sturdy and well-built radio. Torch very bright, as is reading light. Haven't tried the SOS button, because cat. I'll have to wait till he's out and about. All set for the inevitable apocalypse now!

Amazing radio, perfect size. Solar as well as windup. It also has a very loud alarm - it made me jump. Has a master on and off button and a Small compass. Comfortable to hold and easy to store in a backpack.

The Esky wind up radio does not use mains power or batteries.
You need to press the power switch twice to switch off. Unlike other rechargeable radios, it does not use additional batteries. All the power is inside the radio's power pack and it takes quite a long time to recharge.
