I bought this for my husband for his delivery job. He normally takes a backpack filled with water bottles snacks etc which can be awfully heavy. So with the changing weather I figured I'd buy him this item paired with some ice packs. So the following is what he mentioned to me. The compartment/cooler area is nice. Its wide and deep enough to fit water bottles or even his thermoflask inside. He puts all 4 ice packs inside. 1 on the bottom and the other 3 around the sides. Meanwhile he puts his drinks in the middle. He did mention that he hasn't tried to use ice because of what the instructions indicate which is not to put ice directly inside, but put in a sealed bag. He did also note that the zipper seems to have a gap so it may not stay cool as he would like (initial thoughts). He did say that anything that you want to stay cool with the ice packs needs to already be cold. At about 80 degree Fahrenheit type of weather he indicates his drinks do stay cold to cool for about 6 to 8 hours. This is of course taking it out to drink then placing it back inside then closing the zipper all the way. The drinks stay cool enough to enjoy throughout his shift. The major issue he does have is the rest of the compartments. Since he needs various items to use for work they don't all fit like he wants them to and sometimes struggles to take things out depending on what's needed and where its located. So I asked him to rate it and he said for his job and what he needs it for so far its a 7 out of 10. The other thing he notes is that its slimmer than his older backpack and the weight distribution is better so it doesn't hurt his back. He also states that the main purpose is to keep hydrated during his shift and having drinks that are cool and not warm is a major change that he enjoys the most. So overall he is happy and says he will live with it even with the other compartments being a downside its better than the backpack he used to carry. So again from his standpoint as a delivery driver 7 out of 10. (Forgot to mention he will be buying another set of ice packs to see if it helps keep the drinks cooler for longer periods of time). I got a different version of this brand for grocery shopping and beach use, and I really liked the open floor plan as an idea for an overnight bag. I ended up buying this one, which is just perfect for me. The bag itself has great structure and stands open and upright on its own. Because of that structure I can pack clothes that will stay folded and organized. With the padding I’m very comfortable packing larger electronics (although let’s be really honest and say that every piece of equipment I own has a hard shell on it because I MIGHT be clumsy.), but that said, I would be comfortable putting an unprotected laptop or iPad in it. You would need to ensure it is secured however so they’re not bouncing around. The extra compartments work great for little things, places for keys, phone, etc. Side compartments for drinks, etc. I plan to use this flying so I can put my purse into the bag and be able to travel with this and a carry-on.The only thing I would suggest is to have some inner straps that would allow securing your electronics, or if you’re actually using this for the intended use, allowing to secure a cheese board, plates, etc.

Perfect, keeps lunches and drinks insulated great. We use it all the time. Very durable, and costs less here than at the store! Great buy!

I’ve been waiting 2 years to write this review. I’m a avid hiker/explorer and I’ve traveled to 5 different countries with different climates with this backpack. It has became a priority when traveling now! Even for daily outings I bring it with me! It is one of my favorite investments, my family and friends have gotten one. I use it for everyday life too, wether it’s a outing with friends or traveling small distances within my state I can always depend on my back pack to keep things I need Cool. I did a 10 day road trip in Oregon and this backpack as my saving grace!

This is my second one in 3 years and they are both made of good quality. I still have my old one and believe me I put it through hell. but it is still going strong. I got a new one because it had more pockets than the first. I highly recommend this backpack. I fish a lot and my ice, food, and when i am heading home my fish goes in. Sometimes I have to hike through woods and this keep my hands free to maneuver. I am a fan for life.

Keeps food and drinks cold for a day on boat and beach. A Yeti would probably keep things cold for a week but who really needs that besides hardcore campers? At a fraction of the price this feels sturdy and works fine.

As I haven't used this I cant really give a full review. However, when it arrived I was very pleased with the visual quality. Looks very well made. As for the practicality and efficiency I cannot comment.

I was impressed with how long it actually keeps things cool. I thought with it being so warm outside it wouldn’t have lasted through the day but next morning things were still cool

Bought this for my son to take on a 10h long field trip to Montreal. Packed cold lunch, snacks & frozen snacks. Stayed cold all day.

Got it primarily to carry two 4 liter bottles from second floor apartment to water garden but looks like a great little picnic pack also.

purchased for my mom, we like to go out on afternoon long hikes with our big dog, so the size is perfect for a couple of snacks and water bottles, and a juice container of water for the dog, with room for essenttials and more while fitting comfrtably. sits nicely on the back/ sholders, and even in 30c weather doesnt feel too gross after being carried around and sweating for a few hours.
