Falling apart.
I purchased the Qeeen/Full size with perfect comfort thickness. It was bigger than I expected and happy to see that it was the thickness I was hoping for; unfortunately, the outside cotton cover is quite course. When I rub my fingers across it, it feels a bit like a type of sandpaper. Also, there are tiny strings holding the bedding together that make me worry about breaking it, since they don't seem to be made that well and look quite fragile. I will have to purchase a organic cotton duvet for it so that it's comfortable enough to sleep with. For $380, I wasn't planning on spending more for bedding.I love organic products and believe we need to support companies that supply them, but I wanted to let others know that the texture of this product is a bit course and might make it a bit difficult to sleep with.Update: After sleeping with it one night, it's already starting to come apart. The little strings that hold the bedding together are just coming out.Update Nov. 7th, 2018: This blanket has lasted well for years.

(sandwiched between my two hands) Cool Comfort - 1/4 inch thick of wool fill Prefect ...
I gave it an 3 star rating because it's a bit pricey & expensive for what you get.I guess it just depends on your needs and ok with spending extra $$$ for locally sourced wool & Oprah approved.I'm not much of an Oprah fan, since she had Monsanto ads on her O magazine...Anyways here's my 2 cents ~I ordered the 3-wool comforter sample on their website for $10.00 plus $3.40 = $13.40 (which you have to mail & return in a week)Here's the low down on of the thickness of each wool comforter description: (sandwiched between my two hands)Cool Comfort - 1/4 inch thick of wool fillPrefect Comfort - 1/2 inch thick of wool fillExtra Warm - 1 inch thick of wool fillThe organic satin cotton cover was soft with no scent

Changed for the worse
I bought a Holy Lamb Organics Perfect Comfort Wool Comforter around 2014 that was excellent. Yes it was expensive, but it was warm yet breathable, and a lifetime investment.I just bought a new one in 2019 that is much worse. It's about half the thickness of the earlier one (both are "Perfect Comfort"). While the 2014 one was warm enough for winter, the new one is too thin. The price is slightly higher now than in 2014 but for about half the amount of wool. This is a tacky change and very disappointing. It's no longer a premium product or a good investment.

Breathable Beauty
The items from Holy Lamb are absolutely beautiful, craftsmanship is excellent and they feel so nice to the hand. The duvet - Perfect Comfort level - is just what it says, perfect. Not too heavy, no shifting or bunching, and it breathes. Sleeping under it is the next best thing to a womb - in all my research on natural bedding I have come to agree with the claims for natural sleep surroundings and Holy Lamb has gotten us off to a good start. If the price seems high, consider the content - this is natural, local, sustainable, and good for you. How do you put a price on a good night's rest? Well, it's worth it.It's wonderful - makes for good sleep.Yes, there is a light smell of wool upon arrival, we find it soothing and natural, not in any way bothersome and it soon it not noticed at all. The cotton exterior is so soft and smooth, beautiful natural color sateen, but I definitely would put a Duvet cover on it for protection, since you cannot wash these.Top the quality off with the purpose behind the products - organic, natural, hand made, earth friendly and people comforting, it's a way to sleep good within your mind as well.
