Sturdy bike , beware of secret compartment
I got this for a young child and this has lasted and held up pretty good considering the child i got it for is very energetic and reckless. My thoughts initially were that it would break easily considering it was just plastic but it isn't as cheap as you would think. When we went bike riding i made the mother of my niece use this bike and even though it was too big for her the bike could support her well . It even seems to support an average male too without breaking though i wouldn't advise using it.i only comment on the weight capacity to mention how sturdy this thing is, if you have a large young child i am sure it will support him or her without any issue as well ( but should probably get them to use the bike more hours). If you don't believe how sturdy this bike is tie a rope to the front of it and to the back of your cars bumper. But please make sure your child wears a helmet specially if you go over 25 mph which is something i wouldn't recommend to do.One thing i didn't know was that this bike's seat can be lifted and objects and be hidden inside of it. I came across this feature when i was looking for a tv remote control, computer mouse, batteries, screwdivers, and some socks turns out the kid was hiding them in this bike. I caught her one day putting things inside of it and found some of my and other family members items in there which we thought were lost. However i never took away the screwdivers because i have many and she likes to use those to mess up her dads personal items whom i don't really like sometimes. The bike isn't hard to assemble, wheels take a couple of days to break in , but overall the bike WILL last as long as your child doesn't weigh more than you. If you ever have some stuff missing check this bikes seat compartment because they just might be there

It's actually big for my huge toddler!
I have a tall and lanky 2 1/2 year old, so much so I had got her a bike for xmas that she could grow into-well she's still not quite there. Saw this on prime day and after other reviews saying it was a big trike I decided to try.It fits her perfectly (she's 39" btw) to where she'll be able to enjoy this for at least a year if not more. Also fairly easy to put together, did it in about 30 minutes, and it's really light weight. Beware your toes though cause she went over mine right away, but it gets along quite well on tile and carpet so I'm sure she'll be a speed demon outside.

Great little bike
I purchased this for my soon to be 3 year old. She is unable to reach the peddles yet, she is tiny for her age. She still loves the trike and just uses her legs to push the bike along. She loves it! I found this easy to put together except the instructions were a little hard to follow. Trike is well made. I see a few reviews people wrote about the wheels not gripping well, this is true on slippery surfaces, which anything made of plastic would do. I'm very happy with this trike and it made my little girl's day. Happy little girl equals a happy mommy and daddy.

Can't wait for them to grow into it...
We bought these for our two year old twin girls birthday present. They were so excited about them. They were easy to construct and seem to be durable. Unfortunately all the reviews about the 24 month/2 year starting age range for this trike are true. I figured they might be an inch or two too short (they are in the 88th and 94th% for height of a two year old) but once they hopped on their trikes they were far from the pedals. I'd say they need to grown another 4 or 5 inches (yikes) before they'll be able to ride them. They had a little difficulty turning the handle bars, perhaps due to not reaching the pedals. Anyway, they were entertained by the trikes for a day or two but have since gone back to some toddler ride on/push lions that actually fit their bodies. These trikes are now in storage in the basement until they can grow and fit them (crossing my fingers for summer).Pros: good construction and assembly, seem durable, our girls LOVE the compartment to put things in, cute colors and designCons: too big for age range given, steering seems a little stiff and hard to turn, stickers are not easy to align and if you don't get it right they seem to peel off.

Great Starter Trike!
This spring, we bought our 3.5yo a 14" bike with training wheels. But she just doesn't have the muscle or coordination to get it moving and control it. She wants to ride, but just can't. We were all frustrated. She needed something smaller and lighter, but we couldn't justify the cost of another expensive metal bike that she'd probably only use for one season. Then, on a play date with friends, our daughter discovered this Barbie Trike. I ordered one that evening. It arrived two days later. She loves it!!! It was pretty easy to assemble, which is always a plus. It's lightweight, so it's easy for our little peanut to get started and control. It's pink and purple -- her favorite colors -- so she's excited about riding it. And I'm thrilled that I don't have to do all of the work! Honestly, my back couldn't take another go-round with the big bike.Don't get me wrong, there's still a learning and coordination curve. You can't just put this trike together and expect your tot to follow you around the neighborhood. Your little Barbie-lover still needs to learn to peddle, steer and stop. But it's much easier on a lightweight trike like this one, than with a heavy metal bicycle with brakes. My only suggestion would be to put something grippy on the front wheel. It can slide some when going uphill on pavement. All in all, we're very happy with this purchase. For the price, even if she only uses it for one season, it's well worth it!
