This is a nice small thermometer that can be use for all your meats.

It’s ok
If you’re looking for an inexpensive thermometer, this is it. Not my favorite but I keep it on hand, I use it as a last resort. Its really not bad.

Not an instant read thermometer.
I liked the large display, and the plastic housing is pretty sturdy. I bought this because of the instant read feature.It is NOT an instant read thermometer, it took longer than my analog thermometer to register temperatures. It was very difficult to loosen the probe for use. I wound up using a screwdriver to pry it open, and then couldn't get it re-seated in the clip. Most likely, I will not use it for baking - breads can be picky about temps and this takes too long to register.

Good value
I like this unit better than my old one of 8 years. This unit takes a AA battery which is a plus over my old one which used that quarter sized battery which I could never find. This unit fits in my hand well how ever I am left handed which I am always looking at it up-side-down. The only annoying thing is that it starts to Celsius by default but compared to my old unit I can live with that.

Digital Thermometer
I make a lot of homemade bread and I use to use a regular kitchen thermometer. Worked fine but always wanted the digital but the prices were way out of line. Then I found this! for the price? I could not pass it up. Works FANTASTIC! You don't always have to spend more for a good product and this proves it!

The right temp
Although this gets the job done, there are probably stronger more durable ones on the market. I ordered 3 total, for my sisters and I , we have found it to be very accurate, and simple to use

Great for checking the temperature on your sourdough starter and your bread
It comes in handy to measure the temperature on my sourdough starter and of my bread my husband thinks it's a new toy for him to play with I use it quite often if I can keep his hands off of it thank you
