Not for internal storage.
This gas can allows fumes to escape. I'm pretty sure it is designed to be mounted on the exterior of the vehicle. The dimensions makes it easy for me to carry inside my BMW tail bag. But unfortunately everything ends up smelling like gasoline. I'm pretty sure it is designed to be mounted on the exterior of the vehicle because I saw an external mounting kit for it. But I liked the capacity so much for motorcycle rides that I tried it inside my tail bag. It saved my bacon on my last long trip because I ran out of gas. The fuel gauge doesn't work on my bike anymore. And the bike's fuel miles/gallon is much less than what I had hoped for. Too bad they didn't make it of stronger, non-permeable plastic. So I gave it 4 stars.

Not of good quality
Casting quality is poor, nozzle design does not allow you to nest the nozzle inside the sealed can, so you'll forever be toting around the nozzle separately. The worst part however, is that the can arrived full of plastic bits and shards left over from either the mold release or some finishing process at the factory. If I had just filled the can I would've dumped a bunch of plastic into my diesel filter housing. MAKE SURE you shake this can out and tap it against the ground to knock any large plastic fragments loose. Still, there is no way to ensure you've gotten them all so the risk will always be there... Poor quality and poor design.

Just the right size!
This is the perfect size for emergency fuel on a bike. Got this for a 6 day, 800 mile dual sport ride in remote Virginia/WV, and it worked just right: no leaking and easy to use. I took a star off because the first use revealed some plastic shavings in the funnel mesh (thankfully the funnel caught it...definitely recommend washing it out before filling it the first time just in case!). The only improvement that would help with strapping it down would be an opening/loop somewhere, but my Rok straps worked great.

Fits like it's supposed to.
I bought this to use on my motorcycle for extra fuel. There are special holders they fit into and they do that very nicely.

No cap on the pour spout!
Terrible design. . There is no cap for the pour spout so if you plan on using it for fuel it is virtually useless. You could put the regular cap back on it but there is no place to mount or clip the pour spout to the can itself. Good luck keeping them together.

Size listed is wrong!
I initially passed on this container because of the listed 4.9" minimum dimension. At that size, it wouldn't fit in my saddle bag. It actually measures 4" and fits quite nicely. 4 stars since I've just fit checked them and don't have any history of use.

Does what it says on the 'tin'
What can you say. I haven't used this yet but I tested the nozzle before I filled it with fuel and it doesn't leak. So all good. I like the fact that it's not too big but enough to get you out of trouble when you need it. Givi have a great reputation. I won't how ever be buying the bracket for this canister as it is way over priced, i reckon by at least 600%. But I would recommend this as a handy little canister to strap to the back of a motorbike or put in a top box.

Great fuel can!
I had a 2l fuel can but it was useless as you couldn't fill it without a funnel. The Givi is what I should have bought in the first place, it has an extra 0.5l and it can be filled from a petrol pump. Give do a strap specific to this can but it is way overpriced.Nice to have peace of mind when travelling across country on my Triumph Bobber that only has a small fuel tank.

Cheap and cheerful.
Bought for a motorbike trip around Morocco. It wasn't needed as petrol was easy to find, but it was no trouble to carry on my little bike. Worked very well. Not the highest quality. The plastic strip on the lid snapped and the bottle is a little bent after 4000 miles but it's still fine to use still.

Does the trick nicely
Handy size. Good quality. Trying to find a bracket to secure the canister to the bike not easy. The correct holder £60+. How can that price be justified?

Does the job...
I only wanted to store a very small amount of fuel in limited space on my shed shelf. Its not a bad product, but i had assumed that paying the extra cash for this compared to a normal 5 litre jerry can (£7) would see some improvement in quality but I just don't see it to be honest. It does what I want though.
