Finally, a cheese slicer that works!
I have tried about everything over the years to slice your "joe average" cheddar cheese. We live in Oregon so, we get Tillamook cheese. It's a medium cheddar cheese. I own a nice big set of Wusthof knives and I own all three of their cheese knives. None of them work very well. I've tried the stainless steel wire & wheel device and it doesn't cut smoothly or consistently. My wife for years has used a potato peeler but I think the slices are too thin.This Boska cheese slicer is the best of all applications. It slices with very little resistance and it makes even, consistent slices. I love it!The only thing I can say is you might want to get the one with a metal handle because my kids use this and it's going to one day end up in the dishwasher and I'm sure the wood will be shot!

Works just okay, but is over prices
This thing works just okay. It is not the one to use if you are cutting up a lot of cheese. For that you want the marble cheese slicer. I have tried them all and nothing comes close to the marble cheese slicer. Again, for a little snack, this is okay.

Good for the price
Works great and looks great for the price you pay. I've had this for a couple of months now and I haven't had any problems with it. It gives me nice even slices of cheese.

The wood handle is very well made. The quality is amazing. I really love it. It is a great tool for soft cheese.

A disposable razor works better.
Low quality junk. Slicer is very narrow. Bends under light pressure. Only makes a paper thin slice. After using it a few times, and being upset with it, I threw it away to force me to go out and find a better slicer.

Nur noch das Original aus den Niederlanden
Nachdem ich viele verschiedene Käsehobel ausprobiert habe bei denen immer der Käse mehr gerissen ist oder festklebte, habe ich beim letzten Urlaub in den Niederlanden Mal darauf geachtet, welche dort benutzt werden. Und eine niederländische Firma kann selbstverständlich die besten Käsehobel für jeden erdenklichen Käse herstellen. Dieser hier geht nahezu für alle Käsesorten, insbesondere für weichen Käse.

Very handy and cheese doesn't stick
Bought this based on recommendation from a dutch cheese lover and this delivers. Due to the short head, cheese does not stick to the slicer and is very easy to operate and clean. The wooden handle gives it a classy look

Hält, was er verspricht
Habe nach einem Hobel gesucht, der feine Scheiben ohne am Käse zu kleben, schneidet. Tut was er soll, auch etwas weichere Käse (z.B. Allgäuer Bergkäse, junger Gouda) werden tadellos gehobelt.

Zu klein, daher unhandlich
Was ist das für ein kleiner Käsehobel? Der Griff passt kaum in die Hand. Das ganze ist filigran. Für meine Zwecke nicht brauchbar, daher zurückgeschickt.

Klasse Hobel!
Ein toller Käsehobel für hauchdünne Scheiben. Er funktioniert auch bei relativ weichem Käse hervorragend und lässt sich sehr leicht reinigen. Meine absolute Kaufempfehlung! !!
