Useful, fun to read-- and beautiful, too
I've loved Brendan's writing for years. (Note: if you don't follow him as Semi-Rad online, you should. He will make you smile. And laugh. Tell me you don't need more of that.) This book brings Brendan's great writing to a cool concept-- ideas for getting out and doing some very interesting outdoors adventures (read: climbing, skiing, hiking, even BASE jumping), from a half day to, well, quitting your job. I'm not going to quit my job, but it is fun to day dream about it. And the other adventures? Those are absolutely possible. Some, I know, will be future vacations. And for that I thank you, Brendan. A great book for grizzly adventurers, casual adventurers, or just the armchair type. Gift this to your partner and maybe you'll find something for your next vacation. :) Highly recommended!

Full of positive stuff
I liked this small treasure of a book because the author gives a lot of options as to length of trips. You may feel like a half day trip, or get motivated for a 4 day mountain-bike trip in Utah. (Disclaimer: We live 280 miles from Moab. The author had me asking myself “why have I never tried biking near Moab?”) I’ve done a few of the activities in this book. I feel like doing a lot more of them after reading and re-reading!

Fun for Adventures and Dreamers Alike
In his typically casual and funny style, Brendan Leonard compiles a lifetime’s worth of bucket-list-worthy adventures in a few hundred breezy pages. I’ve done a handful of them already (and his descriptions are accurate), but my list just got a lot longer! He also provides useful resources and offers great tips on how to make one’s adventure goals a reality.

Left me full of ideas and wanderlust!
Loved all the adventure ideas big and small. Sometimes we loose track of the small adventures dreaming of the big ones. Great ideas and advice!

Not a good book
The title is a little deceiving. It’s more like “here is where I went”.

A very sad let down
So disappointing. What look like stock images. No detail- doesn't seem like he has actually done most of these trips just cut and paste from somewhere else. No passion-nothing personal in the descriptions.
