Excellent survival knife.
Amazing knife. I took this knife to an Army survival course and was not disappointed. The instructors even threatened to steal it on multiple occasions because it was one of the best knives they had seen. It was used for multiple tasks, which included cutting down small trees. And through it all, it kept it's edge. It is very well balanced and incredibly comfortable to hold. Overall, it's a great survival knife. It wasn't the best at making smaller traps due to it's size, but that was to be expected. It also kept it's coating on the blade very well. The only complaint I have is that the sheath wasn't the best I've seen. The 550 paracord holding the kydex in the nylon was a weak point and kept loosening, which would allow the kydex sheath to sag inside the nylon. That aside, this is one of my favorite knives. You cannot go wrong with a Tops knife and this one is superb.

Good, but a bit too expensive
Just got this a few days ago. Seems like a very tough, good quality sturdy knife, but may be a bit too heavy for longer trips if you are carrying a lot of weight uphill. For the price vs function and effectiveness, Ontario RAT-7 may be better deal at $68.00 vs $155.00. One thing for sure though with the 107, it will probably never let you down.

Tops Steel Eagle 107E
WOW What can i say? Another great tool from Tops Knives.I just recieved it about 2 hrs. ago and went to the grassy knoll to wack it around, this knife looks enourmous in photos but in hand it is unreal. I thought the handle would be too large ,but fits perfect, the balance is great .Like most of the reviewers the sheath lacks, should have put snaps instead of velcro 5 stars because im reviewing the knife not the sheath

TOPS Steel Eagle 107E
It's "THE BEAST!" I can cut my steak, and chop down a tree! I can skin a bear, when he was only three!" (Heh! Heh! Heh! - I stole that from Davey Crockett!). It's BIG! It's TOUGH! It's SHARP! It's STRONG! and it's comfortable in the hand. Not my EDC, but in the woods hunting, camping, fishing, hiking, or bugging out, or if I ever get into a confrontation, I want this intimidator WITH ME!Robert E. Schuenemann

Expedition Grade
Expedition Grade. Having given the construction, quality, durability, precision of manufacture and carefully evaluated its utility in several different roles; it is in my best considered and professional opinion that this is one serious piece of bad-assery. It is 1095 and that requires care, even love, but so does my Sig 220, so no problem. The knife is tough, I mean All American, get it done, kick their teeth out, tough! I got a good edge on it, carefully applied. It planks, it feathers, it chops darn near like a small ax and I don't really want to think what it would do in its intended role as a combat knife. Man; seriously good, well made and I think worth every penny. Nothing I've seen beats it. I really value this tool/weapon. It can and will be passed on. Thanks, Tops; thanks very much.

This is one bad ass knife , buyer beware the sheeth pictured is not what I got . Instead I was sent a nylon sheeth with a kydex insert , not what I wanted.

Couldn't be happier..
I have had my eyes on this knife for a long time. I happened to get around $200 total in amazon gift cards to I pulled the trigger on it. Couldn't be happier... This knife will beat any current knife I own at any outdoors task I throw at it. Chopping, batoning, and even though it's a thick blade, some slicing tasks. Mine came razor sharp. The sheath is the normal ballistic nylon with the pouch, which does the job. I wish it had buttons and not just hook and loop, but it's ok. I will probably get a kydex made from my local cutlery shop and be even happier with it.If you're on the fence about this, just get it. You'll never need another big knife again.

The last knife you'll ever need.
This is a beast. Perfect for primitive camping. Beefy handle with weight you can feel but perfectly balanced. I love this knife. Sheath is well made and comes with lanyard and pocket for feral rod or whet stone.
