Analysis of Shaolin Chin Na: Instructors Manual for All Martial Art Styles

This book contains both interesting and pragmatic information on the application of Chin Na techniques. It's very well written and very readable containing clear descriptions of how to apply the techniques. Seize and control techniques are described for application to the following areas: fingers, wrists, elbows, shoulder, neck, waist, and legs. The book also covers muscle grabbing and cavity press techniques. It's written in such a way as to be able to understand the techniques and then incorporate them into your own system.

Very disappoint, title and description sound wonderful, unfortunately the book doesn't go more than brown belt technique.

If only there was an actual teacher around to bring the book fully alive.

Very informative book.

I bought this book to augment current Wing Chun and Security industry training. I have not as yet fully read and digested the book, however the book appears to be a substantial volume and is packed full of detailed explanation of techniques which would as described provide an excellent supplementary training reference for those interested in delving more deeply into the arts of seizing and controlling attackers in a non overtly aggressive way. Once again as with most martial arts reference books I would have liked the detail depicting photographs of techniques to have been reproduced in a better format in print and the background and clothing/exposures tends to occlude the detail to a significant degree. Notwithstanding this is a very good book which can be used with trial and error to get to grips with the basics of this art and with further professional tuition would serve as an excellent reference to the subject material.
