Easy peasy lemon squeezy!
Firstly, set this up at home before you take it to the beach because it’s got all sorts of styrofoam and cardboard pieces and tape and zip ties. You’ll look like a total rookie fiddling around with all that stuff and it’s a pain. Ask me how I know this…Anyway, I’ve had several sunbrellas in the past and loved how easy they were to use. The only thing I didn’t like was how small they were. So it was a pleasant surprise to find they make an XL! Other umbrellas aren’t as versatile and not as big. And those free flowing canopy things are EXPENSIVE. I want simple and inexpensive and the sunbrella XL fits the bill!I got to the beach around 9am and the umbrella is facing one direction to cast shade. As the sun moves, the umbrella is very easy to reposition as needed. Some other products require wind. This doesn’t. Others are small and leave your feet exposed to the sun. This doesn’t. I can comfortably fall asleep and know I will be in the shade for at least a few hours before I have to reposition it.While the initial set up is a bit involved, tear down is a cinch. Took maybe 2 mins? There are tent stakes you can use for added stability, but other than that, it closes like a golf umbrella. The carrying bag seems cheap and likely to get an hole or fray easily and the shoulder strap is too thin and will dig into your shoulder. Other than those 2 things, this product is worth it!

Literally couldn’t get any better than this!
Pretty solid umbrella/canopy there are a lot of beaches nowadays where you can’t just take a hope canopy. This thing was really perfect enough to fit my wife and myself with two kids comfortably on it. The handle to screw it down into the earth was perfect and kept it sturdy even on a good windy day at the beach with a storm coming in. Super durable! All in all I’ll probably use this forever forward in the future and if something happens to it. I’ll get another one. Top tier product for sure!

Nailing it down to the ground is easy as pie
It had lots of pieces to secure this umbrella tent to the sand. It even had the little flaps in the umbrella to let the wind through so the whole thing didn’t fly away by the wind. Really recommend this if you need something versatile.

Very good product tricky initial setup
Follow instructions and it works perfectly. The initial assembly is a little rough but that is the nature of tensioning an umbrella. After that it was fine and very useful this year and provided great shade and airflow when the flaps are open.

Worked well for three people at the beach.
This worked great as a shade for the beach. Three adults with beach chairs all were able to utilize the shade plus there was room in the back for a cooler and beach bag to remain in the shade. Set up is not much more involved than a traditional beach umbrella but I would recommend buying the special stakes for the sand as the ones that come with it will not anchor well in sand. Overall, I'm really pleased with the look, the amount of shade provided and the ease of setup and take down.

Good umbrella
This is our third summer with this umbrella. There is a bit of a learning curve to setting it up, so I suggest familiarizing yourself with how it screws in and all the components before getting to the beach where you’ll probably be sweating and overwhelmed with bags and kids. I can’t say we go to the beach every weekend so I can only speak for light use but it has held up well. I find the material to be adequate and there is no signs of rusting or discoloring. On my own I added some padding to the strap to make it more comfortable to carry since it’s just a nylon strap which can dig into your shoulder after a while. What would I change If I could otherwise? i’d make it so the windows open/close from the inside. I don’t understand why they don’t. It’s much more practical.
